I spent quite a while searching for an FM transmitter that has a manual on/off switch so that I didn’t have to worry about my battery draining over extended periods of my car not being used. This was one of 2 products that I found (the other being 3 times the price and having difficulty shipping). I have been using this product every day for the past 2 months. So far it has held up very well, works as described, and has made connecting and listening to music much easier. I have since ordered a second one for another car.
The only issue I have had with this transmitter is that it does not fit snuggly into the outlet in my car - it still works perfectly without disruption and stays in place the whole time while I drive but there is a slight wobble/movement of the device when pressing buttons. Clearly wasn’t a big issue for me as I’ve ordered another one!

It's nice that someone finally realized there needs to be an on/off switch. I've had 2 others, one being this model but without the switch. (All failed within a year of purchasing) Many times I'd have to walk back out to my truck and unplug the transmitter as it was still connected while I'm my house. Of course I have to remember to turn it off but that's easier than unplugging and plugging back in every time I used my truck.

This is a great product. It synched really easily and quickly via Bluetooth with my iPhone 6S. Sound quality is very good and far better than the old device from another manufacturer that it replaced. I haven't tried the phone functions, but music is perfect. I have it in a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara with no auxiliary audio input to the music system, so need a product like this. Build quality and design is very good and compact. It locks solidly into the 12V socket and stays there no matter how bouncy things get off road. I did look at some of the "newer" versions of the product, prompted by �鶹��, but they looked overly complicated. The KM18, is simple, well built and does the job of getting music from my phone through to my car radio very, very well. I highly recommend it.

Cons
-Song details are NOT displayed if connected via Bluetooth, yet the controls will work (details are only shown via microSD). See the last photo where there is a triangle symbol in the top left corner denoting that music is being played but the song details are not shown.
-Manual says microSD cards up to 32GB are supported and only plays MP3, WMA and WMV formats. This may be a deal breaker for users with huge libraries of FLAC files. Personally have not tested whether this is true.
-Whilst the connector is flexible, it is not collapsible or extendable. It may stick out like a sore thumb for users who have an awkwardly placed cigarette lighter.

Quick tips
-This device MUST be plugged into the cigarette lighter to turn on (this is the battery source). Next, on your car radio/FM, select a channel between 87.5 and 108.0. Then, on the KM18, press CH+ or CH- so that the selected channel on the KM18 matches that of the car FM. Only then will there be sound coming out from the car speakers (e.g. 87.5 on car FM, 87.5 on KM18 too).
-If you find there is some background/static noise, especially with higher volumes, use the supplied AUX cable and connect it to the car's existing AUX port, should your car have one. Using this method, you will be playing music from your phone via Bluetooth to KM18, which in turn plays the music through the car speakers via AUX output. The benefit of this is 1) your phone is freed from cords, 2) you may use the buttons on the KM18 to control your music and 3) static noise may be reduced. I currently use this option since my cigarette lighter is conveniently located next to the AUX port.

-Song details are NOT displayed if connected via Bluetooth, yet the controls will work (details are only shown via microSD). See the last photo where there is a triangle symbol in the top left corner denoting that music is being played but the song details are not shown.
-Manual says microSD cards up to 32GB are supported and only plays MP3, WMA and WMV formats. This may be a deal breaker for users with huge libraries of FLAC files. Personally have not tested whether this is true.
-Whilst the connector is flexible, it is not collapsible or extendable. It may stick out like a sore thumb for users who have an awkwardly placed cigarette lighter.

Quick tips
-This device MUST be plugged into the cigarette lighter to turn on (this is the battery source). Next, on your car radio/FM, select a channel between 87.5 and 108.0. Then, on the KM18, press CH+ or CH- so that the selected channel on the KM18 matches that of the car FM. Only then will there be sound coming out from the car speakers (e.g. 87.5 on car FM, 87.5 on KM18 too).
-If you find there is some background/static noise, especially with higher volumes, use the supplied AUX cable and connect it to the car's existing AUX port, should your car have one. Using this method, you will be playing music from your phone via Bluetooth to KM18, which in turn plays the music through the car speakers via AUX output. The benefit of this is 1) your phone is freed from cords, 2) you may use the buttons on the KM18 to control your music and 3) static noise may be reduced. I currently use this option since my cigarette lighter is conveniently located next to the AUX port.
