- Reviewed in Canada on February 3, 2019Just received and installed it and it's definitely a better value than units I've used in the past. The Aux port works either way, as input from a device to be transmitted over FM, or as output to the car from a Bluetooth device. Build quality seems better than expected for its price, though I've only had it for a couple days. Some are commenting on the low volume; volume is set individually on the phone, transmitter, and vehicle, so for best results turn the volume on the phone and transmitter all the way up, then use the volume on the car stereo to set the desired level. I think it comes through louder than other other transmitters I've used in the past. I chose this particular model mainly for price and the power button so I don't have to unplug it every time. Sound quality over FM is fine, same as other devices I've used, probably as good as it can be, haven't tested it over the Aux port as my vehicle doesn't have one.
The only downsides are the lack of a second USB port for charging a second device, and the display only has a limited range it'll rotate. It only fits kind of sideways because my accessory ports are recessed under the dash, that's not a problem with the product itself, but something to consider between this and other models. Both features are available on more expensive versions of this device, so know what you want and are willing to pay.
