    This is a replacement for a pan I have used for more years than I can count. The difference in quality is appreciable. The little feet on the pan are probably very useful, but I will continue to balance the stem of the tube pan on a custard cup to give the cake extra support in the cooling process. I haven't used it yet, but look forward to that day.

    Only used this pan once so far and it helped produce a beautiful fluffy cake. The pan feels thick enough, I feel with proper care it should last a life time. I didn't have enough eggs when it arrived, but I did have my trusty Betty Crocker's Angel food cake mix tucked away for emergencies. Yes, there are such things as Angel Food cake emergencies...ever have a craving? *grins*
    For years I've made my angel food cakes in two 9x5 loaf pans, yes that worked, but it so much nicer to have one cake to frost, and makes for a more attractive presentation.
    I did not follow manufactures directions to season the pan with oil prior to using. I simply washed in hot sudsy water and rinsed. Oil would hinder the cakes rising, you never oil an angel food cake container if you want good rise.

    Die Angel Food Backform von Nordicware ist ein ordentliches Produkt. Der Kuchen gelingt jedes Mal und durch die zweiteilige Ausführung bekommt man ihn auch gut aus der Form. Nachdem der Kuchen über Kopf in der Form abkühlte soll, wird diese ja nicht eingefettet um zu verhindern, dass dieser von allein aus der Form fällt. Die einteiligen Backformen mit Anti-Haft-Beschichtung und ohne die typischen Füsse zum besseren Abkühlen erscheinen mir daher gegenüber dieser Ausführung eher weniger geeignet. Ein kleines Manko dieser blanken Aluminium-Backform ist allerdings, dass sie nicht spülmaschinengeeignet ist. Das Salz würde das Aluminium angreifen und die Form unansehnlich machen.
    Die Form von Nordicware ist etwas teurer als die anderer Hersteller, dafür wird sie aber nicht in China hergestellt.
    Ich bin zufrieden mit dem Produkt, wie auch mit den anderen Bachkformen von Nordicware, die wir besitzen.
