These should only be about $100-$150 in my opinion but this device does work very well for internet in a poor cell signal area. Good internet speeds and reliability. I had to stick it to my upper floor window and find the best place for signal. Also needed to add my SIM card’s APN found at the cell’s website - Public Mobile and Telus worked great. I think Telus’ APN was already there when I changed SIMS. Of note - it’s a micro SIM so if you have a nano, like most cell’s these days, get one of those adapters. I did not know this at first and used a nano and sometimes it would not pick it up. I got a different cell data plan and now the SIM stays in all the time and it’s a micro. Much better.
The company also provides good tech support. I did not know about the APN before setting it up and it would not connect to the net until I added that in. Another good tip from someone I read is that you can remove the battery and just plug it in directly and it works great. That is what I have done as I don’t use it for travel so might as well not wear out the battery. Great product.
