- Reviewed in Canada on March 5, 2022Well, I'll tell you this straight up, any computer geek out there will tell you this is the best. I've got computer guy friends who are literally jealous of me having this. It started in the market in the upper 300's, I purchased mine in the 400's... Now it is up to the 700's... It's a gadget so good, it did the opposite with time in the market as most technology does... It went up in price instead of down, and the demand is so high, for a while every time there was new stock, wouldn't take long at all until the stock was down to 1 or just a few devices left...
I got lucky and bought mine at a lower stock price, but I'll tell you this much, it is well worth the cost regardless, Just do yourself a favor, if you will use it as a extender at home, don't leave the battery inside it if you will keep it plugged in. And don't let the battery die completely, keep it charged when you let it sit, and don't keep it on the charger when it's full.. At home I use it as a extender, I have a 6 story townhouse, so on the top floor in my master bedroom, or in the garage or basement, connection is usually pretty questionable. But, thanks to this device, I run a ethernet cord up to my room, plug directly into the nighthawk, and have a strong 5G connection in my room.. Turns my home wifi from speeds of 150, up to high speeds over 5180+...... Now that is an upgrade. Using it as an extender is probably it's biggest usefulness in my usage, but on the go, just as well. Obviously using a constant wifi transmitter will cost more in data than just a regular regulated cellular device, especially for my case, I often use laptops on the road, and computing devices like laptops definitely consume a noticable amount of data more than a cellphone. But that is just common sense.. It is great, connection anywhere, with rogers I've used this thing all the way from calgay ab canada to goshen indana usa, and no issues what so ever. An absolute beast in the technology world. And like I said, I've got computer guy friends who are literally jealous of this thing. I've had people offer me 900 dollars for this thing because of how hard it can be to get one.. But, I refuse. I got mine at a good price, and that just makes its value so much greater to me. I love this thing. I truly do.
