Great Looking Sports Car Building Block Set

If you or your child is into cars and you enjoy building things, this Sports Car Building Block Set from Mesiondy is a great choice that will keep you occupied for hours.

The kit contains a total of 1404 pieces and is in 1:14 scale so it will build a sports car that measures about 13.8" in length that will great displayed on your shelf or bookcase. The model features a full working suspension, geared transaxles, doors that open and close, functioning steering and a nicely detailed interior. It even has provisions for an optional DC motor (not included) to power the car which is pretty cool.

The block pieces are well made with no defects and look and feel similar to what you would get from the big brand name block company. The blocks hold together well so you won't be rebuilding sections over and over. All the pieces are sorted into numbered bags that match the build sequence in the manual so you're only working with the bricks that you need for each section. The color build manual is large and well laid out and the steps are easy to follow, but there were two sections where the build order seemed to be out of order, so it took a few attempts to figure out what to do.

This kit also includes a large decal sheet to complete the look of the car. The application of the decals is done during the build process and the manual shows you what number decal goes on each specific piece.

I do want to point out that there are some are very small pieces in this kit which may be challenging for younger or less experienced builders to work with, so the suggested 8-14 year age range seems appropriate. The build took me four days to complete because I was only able to work on it 1-2 hours a day in the evenings. The car looks great with all the decals applied and fits in nicely with the similar size Technics cars I have.

I'm very happy with the quality and price point of this building block set so I'm giving this a highly recommend and 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This is a cool project to build, but be warned, you do need to pay attention to the pieces. Many of the part do look similar and may provide a bit of confusion if you are not pay close attention to detail.

The bricks and parts are sorted into separate bags and the numbers on the bag associate to the steps in the instructions. The instructions are detailed and well done, they are relatively easy to follow.

There are over 1,400 pieces included in the set and they do fit well together. There are no pieces that are not moulded correctly, thus far. This is a kt that will take you a bit of time if you are like me and casually build a little at a time.

There is a sticker pack for the final finishing touches. I am not a fan of having to place stickers on final projects, such as these. I really do not mind a few for flare, but a whole sheet of them is a little much. You do lose the punch of the final finish without them, regretfully.

As an avid fan of brick style puzzles, this has been a fun project to build so far. There are many hours of enjoyment to be had. As mentioned, be sure to pay close attention to the instructions and pieces. Some of the pieces do look similar, placing the wrong one in the mix may have you backtracking. However, this will be a great showpiece in my collection.

Recommended for those who enjoy brick puzzles.

The *Mesiondy 1:14 MOC Racing Car Building Set* is like LEGO’s caffeine-fueled cousin who skipped leg day but bench presses V8 engines. With 1404 gloriously fiddly pieces, this beast will test your patience, dexterity, and ability to avoid stepping on tiny plastic death traps. But once it’s built? Oh baby—it looks like it should come with its own pit crew and insurance. Perfect for kids, adults, and anyone who wants to feel like an engineer without a degree (or salary). Five stars for fun, frustration, and feeling like a mechanical genius.

Great value compared to other interlocking build sets from other manufacturers. At over 1400 pieces for less than $50 it provides good play value for the buck while still providing an exceptional looking car model with sleek lines and lots of details and the addition of moveable parts in the wheels, piston engine, spoiler, doors, and front wheel linkages. The moving parts add another level of interest to the model. The 1400 pieces are divided up into 3 large bags and further diivided into smaller bags. There are stickers inside the manual that add authenticity and finishing details. We separate all the pieces into like shapes in a dozen or more containers to help locating pieces as the manual steps provide the required pieces in each step, otherwise finding the pieces is tedious and time consuming. The manual is very detailed and requires patience and a detailed eye as many of the pieces look alike and the colors are similar and sometimes hard to distinguish and removing pieces once they are installed can be challenging if you have to unbuild the model due to an error on your part. The product label says this model is for those 8 years of age and up, while the description in the body says it is for teens and adults. I think it is best geared toward teens and up due to the complexity of the build and the intricacy of the pictures in the manual. Hours, make that days, of fun for a reasonable price.
