    This is a great product and screws right onto your toilet for security and the legs can be increased in height to match the height of the raised toilet seat that you buy. It gives you a Firm support to help you push yourself off the toilet. I had a knee replacement so I can't use my knee to weight bear so I have to use one leg and my arms to push off and this is wonderful. There's non-slip rubber feet on it so it stays in place. The only thing you might want to make sure you have is some kind of a washer or some kind of a rubber extender as the screws that hold your normal toilet seat on are too small to hold the piece that attaches to your toilet. Luckily my toilet seats had rubber stoppers on it the old toilet seat clamped onto so I just put them through the screw and it holds the raised toilet bar on firmly

    To attach this you remove your toilet seat all the back part then put your toilet seat back. This makes it very sturdy and assure that it stays in place. It is height adjustable, my husband is tall, and I was worried that with his bathchair that protrudes outside the tub that it might block his ability to get into the tub in our small bathroom, but found that you can take off a rail if necessary and put it back easily.

    At first use this product may appear a little 'flimsy' but if adequate care is exercised in its use, it is quite safe enough. Because of the fact that it is made of light aluminum, it tends to be a bit shaky, but is in actual fact quite sturdy. The arms are made in such a way that they can swivel to each side if necessary for use by able people who do not need to rely on support when using the seat. Adjustment and fitting to the toilet bowl is very easy and only a screwdriver is needed. Well worth the money for those who are disabled in some way.

    The advertise said easily mounts to most ANY toilet seat with adjustable bracket that comes standard, yes mounting is easy but it did not say it may prevent seat cover open fully, how could people do their business without seat cover fully open!!!
    Damn thumb knobs are way too big!!!

    The rail is very sturdy when pushing up to get up, which is the purpose of this rail. I would not recommend it as a rail to prevent falling off on the sides as it is not sturdy enough against forces pushing sideways. Very easy to install. However, depending on the design of your toilet (for instance if its a one piece with a curved corner between the seat and the water container) I'd recommend to mount the entire rail first before bolting it to the toilet. Otherwise the plate that goes under the toilet seat bolts may be on an angle that makes it difficult, if not impossible, to slide the posts in it.

    Balancing issues become a fact of life for most seniors, and so this was a purchase to assist my husband. He no longer can put things together, as he has Alzheimer's...just so you know a 'senior' woman put this together ;) It fits, it's easy, it came in 4 pieces and attached to our toilet without any problems, instructions were clear and easy to follow. It's been a HUGE help for my husband.

    It would be very easy to remove to clean, and if you felt the grab bar needed to be set aside to allow other family members to use the facilities, you can just release the tighteners on the shaft and swing it aside.

    I would definitely recommend this product.
