    I don't like that it only works when you hold the on button. I was hoping that I could turn it on, stick in the soil/lawn and then pull it out and read it. I have to get down on the ground and then push the on button, hold it and read the screen. Im 70 with bad knees.

    The product does work, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. When my soil is damp, the screen reads dry. It still leaves me with a bit of a guessing game on just how damp the soil is, which kind of defeats its own purpose. I basically just don't water until it reads dry+. Would return but I'm outside of the return window, so I guess I'm stuck with it.

    The ph meter being digital is much more accurate than a analog dial. It can be slow to respond, I stick it in the soil I'm testing wait about a minute for it to stabilize then do several areas and go by the average. It could use a nutrient reading on it like some others, but on the other one I tried it was very dubious as to the accuracy. Soil that I knew to be good it said wasn't that good, yet our crops are growing great, even better than last year at the same time. But I was mostly interested in the ph values so it fills my needs.
