First and foremost, this is a monopod. It's NOT a tripod. So I would never put a camera on this. Hoping it will stay up without holding it. .... Unless you have a really light point and shoot or something like a GoPro.
I'm not too thrilled with a twist locks to be honest.... I would much rather have had this with the manfrotto quick release trigger unlocking legs... Twist locks are a little bit tedious to set up and quickly tidy up and run away. I keep forgetting which direction is loose in which direction is tight.
My tripod legs are fantastic and easy to retract as well. The ball joint gives a smooth experience tilting and twisting whilst giving a firm base to move around. The tension on the bottom ball joint can be adjusted with an allen key... I was hoping that you didn't need to carry around an allen key... But something you can adjust without any tools. Again, this is a bit inconvenient and not quite what expected from a manfrotto product.
To be honest I wanted a slightly taller telescopic monopod.... I am 5'9" and this thing is a little bit too short.
Well it's a decent monopod with sturdy Legs, there's just a few shortcomings that is hard to accept, especially with a premium price tag. I'll probably end up keeping it still.... But just be aware of those shortcomings.
