  • During charging, the charger's light turns red and green when fully charged. The hand controller's light itself remains off during or after charging. To check the battery, press "UP" or "DOWN" on the controller; the light indicates the battery level.

  • The charging frequency for the hand controller should align with how often you plan to use it. However, even if you don't use the chair lift for extended periods, I recommend charging it fully at least once a month to prevent deep discharge.

  • Our chair lift is waterproof, allowing safe usage in water as long as the hand control is properly connected to the chair. It's safe to submerge during a bath, but make sure not to leave it submerged for extended periods after you're done.

    NEW REVIEW Dec 2023. We've used the device a half a dozen times now for emergencies and we love it. I'm adding to the review because we had an incident this week where I didn't set the chair up perfectly (I was in a panic honestly) and snapped a tiny piece off. I had to take a deep breath and reset, but got it working.

    Then I wrote to the company to tell them about the damage. They confirmed that it wasn't too serious, didn't affect safety and also wasn't repairable. Also the part is not replaceable but they would replace the entire base for no charge. What? I'm ecstatic. This lift is so important to our lives that when we can afford it we will buy a second unit to have as a backup. But for now, we can repair this one. I think that's best as there might be other damage that isn't visible. We are so appreciative.

    Response time was impressive - 4 hours from when I sent out the email. BY THE WAY the address is IN THE PAPER MANUAL. They are tough to find online and easily confused with a company out of the US that makes desks.

    I purchased this item end of January and received it on February 1st, 2024. I have a tendency of falling and always needed someone to help me get up because I have a disability that affects my muscles. I was hoping that having that I wouldn't have to call for help. Unfortunately it wasn't suitable for my needs. A person in need of using it has to have the strength in their arms to push themself onto this chair, which I don't. I didn't try the chair after I received it, then over a month after having it I did have a fall, my kids came over and we tried it, no matter how we tried to bring me over the chair we were unsuccessful. The chair worked perfectly but as I said it was useless for me. Since the return window was closed I contacted 鶹 first to explain but they refused a return/refund.

    So I contacted the manufacturer MAIDeSITe-VC directly, after some emails exchanged and my agreeing to ship it to an address they provided, then the warehouse confirming that the chair is in fact still in mint condition and working perfectly, they agreed to refund me in full. They were very helpful and patient with me.

    So my recommendation is if you are thinking of purchasing this chair, make sure the user has enough strength in their arms to lift their "butt" up to sit on the chair. It is as in the details that this is suitable for seniors, but it would be helpful if it would mention not suitable for someone with certain disability.

    I have used it for one fall when I was transferring from the shower bench to my wheelchair. Once I got it set up, it lifted me and I was able to slide over to my wheelchair seat.

    I also used it when I got an electrical cord tangled up in the wheels of my powered wheelchair. I used it to lower myself to the floor so I would untangle the cord. Then lift myself back up to get back into the wheelchair.

    I am rigging up a suitcase dolly to be able to easily move it around the house to where I will be doing something where I need to get down to floor level.

    What is interesting is that this device was developed for a totally different purpose. So a handicapped person can get in and out of a bathtub. Hence it is waterproof. I have not taken a bath for years as I have been unable to get out of the tub. The side boards fold upwards nicely and it can lower a person into a tub, then after, bring them up level again with the rim for exit.

    While I have been living only taking showers, that there is a dual purpose would help sell more if mentioned in the description,

    While it is a little pricey I am glad I purchased it.

    Just a warning that this product is largely plastic in construction and while it seems sturdy enough I doubt that it will not take bush abuse. Use it within limits and carefully, Do just fall onto it, slamming your weight onto it suddenly.

    I purchased the MaideSite Electric Chair Lift about a week ago. I had two day shipping and the product arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was very well packaged. I unpacked the box and took out the chair. I then plugged in the controller to the charger. It took approximately 4 hours to fully charge the controller. I then plugged the controller into the chair lift. I sat on the unit seat and upon pressing the UP button, it lifted me up perfectly. I felt very safe going UP. I was surprised how smoothly it lifted. I purchased this chair lift, to assist me to lift my wife up off the floor after she had a fall. She has had balance issues for several years. I was having difficulty getting her up off the floor, to the point of injuring my back when trying. This chair lift will do the job. It is the perfect solution to my problem. I was reluctant to call 911 for an ambulance when she had a fall. The unit is very well made. It has a small footprint so it can be used in tight situations. The unit is fully waterproof, so it can also be used as a bathtub lift. The padded seat is comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase. My wife and I both feel relieved that we have a way of getting her up off the floor if she has any more falls. Hopefully we won't need to use it.

    What an amazing product. Extremely well made and durable. Beats calling the ambulance every time hubby has a fall. Great for me as well as once on the floor, extremely difficult to get up. Had to buy a Aussie wall plug adapter as US plug is only attached to the plug in adapter, but the small extra cost is insignificant to how useful this chair is. It will probably never see a bath, as we don't have one, but just the lifting off the floor far outweighs the 3 or 4 thousand dollars in equipment the Ambulance used in their cushion pump and our chair does a better job!

    I have knee, back and balance issues. This was a lifesaver from the first dAy it was out of the box. Generally if I fall there is no injury that requires an ER visit, but if the squad comes to get me up that is where I will go. With this chair I can usually roll or use my arms to get to it. Then just sit on it, push the controller and in just moments I am ready to use my Walker.
