    I cannot give this Blu-Ray disc of a David Gilmour concert any less than the 5 stars when 10 stars would likely still not do it justice. It scorches the mind whether you are a Pink Floyd fan or not.
    The video is shot in 4K and the sound is available in PCM Stereo and in 5.1 DTS !! It is quite simply amazing, you owe it to yourself to acquire this item in the briefest of delays. Anyone who loves music genius will appreciate this offer from David , it is a must have !!

    David Gilmour's finest live dvd/blu-ray since the "Remember That Night" in 2007.
    Great mixture of songs from "Rattle that lock" "On a Island" and classic Pink Floyd!!

    One thing I dislikes very much about the package is that there is a "PG" rating in a yellow triangle in the bottom right corner printed with the cover. It can not be taken off. So if you look at the image of the cover on here, the "white blu-ray disc" logo is moved to the left bottom corner and replaced by the "PG" rating. This does not take away anything from the concert imagery and sound on the disc, but the ugly yellow triangle does diminish the epic art work of the cover.

    Once again David Gilmour shows what a musical genius and accomplished musician he is. The Blu-ray contains a nice mixture of new material and essential Pink Floyd material. The sound mix is nicely recorded and very spatial on a full home theatre system. Upscale to 4K and the picture holds the viewer throughout the show.
    The only fault I found was that the show over used the stage smoke screen. It often obscured some of the band as well as diminishing what is a high quality camera shoot.
    Beyond that it will be an essential disc for Gilmour and Floyd fans and proves that in the end, there is no substitute for talent!!

    Still Rockin after all these years. The small venue, limited audience size and (probably) excellent acoustics make for a precise and immersive audio track (DTS HD Master). The A/V and light-show must have been something to behold, and the recording and editing capture this well. Extras are quite limited on this release, but the short documentary is adequate to describe Gilmour's first return concert since Floyd's performance in '71. Highly recommended.

    Ich habe mir diese BluRay gerade 2x angesehen und bin regelrecht geflashed. Woah!

    Bild + Ton sind qualitativ erste Sahne, keine Frage, das Thema ist dann schon abgefrühstückt. Kommen wir zum Konzert an sich. Die Setlist besteht aus 2 Teilen, beide zum größten Teil mit Pink Floyd Hits bestückt, und auch einige Songs aus den Solo-Alben Favid Gilmours.

    Ich bin ehrlich, David Gilmours Soloalben interessieren mich nicht wirklich, obwohl sie sich auch hören und sehen lassen können, ich bin wegen Pink Floyd hier. Und da haben wir das große Dilemma. Pink Floyd slebst ist tot, da kommt nichts mehr. Die Live-DVD "Pulse" hat alles raus geholt was aus dem Medium raus zu holen war, aber das Material wurde zu Zeiten aufgenommen als es die DVD noch öange nicht gab. Dementsprechend ist das Vergnügen relativ begrenzt. Dann wird die "Australian Pink Floyd Show" hoch gejubelt, ich habe da auch 2 BDs von ihnen, aber so richtig dolle ist das auch nicht. Nun haben wir dieses Live Konzert von David Gilmour, aufgenommen in Pompeji, und näher kommen wir heute an Pink Floyd nicht mehr ran.

    Wie schon gesagt, Bild und Ton sind einwandfrei, die Performance der Musiker ist genial, und hier kommt auch wesentlich mehr Spielfreude rüber als bspw. bei der APFS die technisch auf sehr hohem Niveau spielen, aber beim Bemühnen Pink Floyd möglichst perfekt nach zu ahmen sehr steril wirken, und überdies mit einem Tontechniker gesegnet sind der dröhnende wabernde Bässe gerne in Klangmatsch garniert. Wer Pink Floyd Songs in zeitgemäßer Qualität genießen will kann und sollte bei dieser BD zugreifen.

    Die einzige Kleinigkeit die ich schade finde, ich hätte neben dem Konzert noch gern eine kleneTourdoku gesehen, ein paar Interviews, das übliche Bonusmaterial halt. Hier gibt es nur ein 7 minütiges Stück über den Spielort Pompeji. Aber das ist nur eine Nebensächlichkeit und die Hauptsache, das Konzert ist perfekt eingefangen und auf BD gepresst worden. Hier gibt es volle 5
