Lisle Corporation recently celebrated the company's founding and 115 years of continuous manufacturing in Clarinda, Iowa in 2018. The privately owned company is led today by third, fourth, fifth and sixth generation family members.

C.A. Lisle started the company in 1903 with the first product being horse-powered water well drilling machines. To combat the seasonality of the well drilling business, the young company branched out and also manufactured washing machines, cream separators, and push-type reel lawn mowers.

This works well on fuel/hydraulic hoses. It needs tightening hard even on regular hydraulic hoses, so I wouldn't be using it on the braided type. The body is plastic and I worry about the strength of this tool over time. That said, I changed out a caliper in under 10 minutes and bled it with no problems

I must admit that I have never used hose pinchers before changing the fuel filter on my Husqvarna, but they worked well for me.

Some reviews mention that they either broke or wouldn't pinch, but I have not experienced any of that.

The gray frame is made of plastic, I'm sure if one were to over stress the plastic by tightening the metal screw and nut.... it will break.

I pinched a 1/2" Outer Diameter, 1/4" Inner Diameter fuel line successfully by hand tightening the wing nut as much as I could and left it at that. I can see it getting harder to achieve this as the line gets bigger in diameter. Maybe it would work on 5/8" OD line but I wouldn't push it further than that.

I added a video that I had made for the replacement of a fuel line filter, the video features these pinchers in action.

I did away with the "Wing Nuts" and coupled these with the red CAMVATE 1/4"-20 Female Thumb Wheel Lock Nut Adapter (2 Pieces) as shown in the pictures here in �鶹�� by another reviewer. It works great with this setup. You can really get a LOT more torque on those stiff rubber ("flex") brake hoses.
