I will start by saying that I ordered on Jan 13 and it got to my home on Jan 26. Which is a little longer than usual for 鶹 but packaging and shipping times are a little longer at this time. I bought this product knowing it was a cheaper version on the Addi knitting machine. A knock off. I had thought it was going to be a sentro or santro based off of other reviews. It is not. The brand on the side says Fygain. However I am sure it is probably the same machine and they just put on a different label. It came with 3 plastic needles of different sizes and a hook to help weave in ends. It also had 4 balls of cheap yarn in varying weights. I used this yarn to test out the machine. It works as intended. I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to get started and finished of. My advice is go slow at first till you're sure you're not dropping stitches and then you can go very fast. Slow down again when switching colours till you have a few rounds of the new colour. The row counter on mine does work. Other advice I have is make sure you have lots of yarn pulled out from the skein cause it doesn't go as smoothly if it feels this tension. And don’t let the yarn bunch up under the tension hook,it will tangle there and get you stuck. And then you will have to spin the opposite way to fix it and you will most likly drop stitched by doing that and have to start over. It only took about 15 minutes of trying it to get the hang of it. All I’ve done is used up the yarn they gave me, but so far I like it. I will try with some of my fancy yarn later. I’d say for a knock off it’s great!

    I'm not a knitter nor a crochet-er. I just don't have it in my hands to do it by needle alone. But with the Sentro, I can! I have motor skill issues with my hands and this machine makes it easy to crank, literally, out a tube or panel out in minutes! There is a learning curve and you do need to learn some basic crochet techniques to fix dropped or tucked stitches, but overall, if you use the machine right, you won't have problems. I haven't encountered the issue yet with the counter breaking, but I hear it is a common issue. I'm not a fan of the suction cups, they just are too small and lack the power needed to secure the machine. Everyone recommends getting at least two clamps to attach the legs to a stable working surface. I haven't done so yet, so I gently hold the machine in place with my left arm. I hear that can cause issues too, so I recommend getting clamps as soon as possible.

    Another thing about this machine is, cranking it gets tiresome pretty quick if you aren't toned. There are listings for a drill bit adapter that can shoulder the bulk of the work for you though. I have yet to purchase one. But it is popular on Youtube to use one to cut down on the work. I hear that it's recommended to use an electric screwdriver instead of a drill. But you can use either. Just be careful if using a full powered drill, you still need to watch your rows for dropped/tucked stitches.

    Last thing: Some people complain about the machine breaking due to their yarn weight. The machine recommends a 4 or lower. If you go higher, the machine might start jamming and will break the crank mechanism.

    TL;DR Great machine. Really. It's fun to use and my kid can help. The only downside is you might want to buy clamps to upgrade the stability of the legs, as the suction cups aren't great. And also a drill bit adapter to cut down on the physical strain. And watch your yarn weight that it doesn't exceed 4.

    I read a lot of reviews about this machine breaking or dropping stitches. Also, pieces breaking. First of all; it is plastic, it’s not meant to be cranked top speed, a slow even medium pace works just great. If you’re going to do that it’s going to break. Make sure you take your time when casting on. Go slow for the first few rounds. Make sure your yarn is in the tensioner, you’ll definitely drop a stitch if not. your feeding yarn must be loose. Unroll a good portion before feeding into the machine. Also, really take your time casting off and you’ll have a great piece. Long and short of it is; it’s not super rugged but for the price it’s a great little machine. Your not going to crank out a sweater in 30 minutes, its just not made for that. Can’t wait until I save enough for the 22 needle!

    Worked really well for the first 4-5 projects. Then it started dropping stitches constantly and the gears would skip. I took it apart following a maintenance tutorial and gave it all a good clean/regrease. Reassembled and it worked great again for 2-3 projects, and then went right back to dropping stitches and gear skipping. The row counter also doesn't work properly, it only goes up once every 5 rows. So I guess it works fine as long as you can commit to frequent and in depth maintenance? I think this knitting machine is good for beginners/casual use, I would save up for an Addi if you're wanting something more reliable.

    Das auffädeln der Wolle ist ganz leicht und auch das Abnehmen des Stückes am Ende ist kein Hexenwerk. Es gibt auch ganz wunderbare Anleitungen im Netz, mit denen man sogar Muster in seine Werke zaubern kann.

    Ich kann Strickmaschinen absolut empfehlen und würde mir bei Bedarf wieder eine kaufen :)
