- Reviewed in Canada on January 10, 2004I found this album in Best Buy last week and I really didn't know what to expect. Only 6 songs?! Something's wrong here, or so I thought. This live album blows away Tribute, Speak of the Devil and Live at Budokan. The main reason I enjoy this album is because it has alot of imphasis on No Rest For The Wicked, Ozzy's second most underrated album (after Ozzmosis). Here's a quick run through of the set list and what I think about it.
1. Miracle Man-my favorite Ozzy song of all time, and the best version of it too. 2nd best moment on the album.10/10
2. Bloodbath in Paradise-I never really liked this song untill I heard it on here. This version of the song is amazingly better than the album counterpart. 10/10
3. Shot in the Dark-this is the sheer greatest version of this song of all time. The solo Zakk adds to it is amazing, though for some reason this album was cancelled due to this song.(Ozzy hates anything with Shot in the Dark on it)10/10
4. Tatooted Dancer-cool song, though I never really liked it much. This version of it,again, blows the album one away.9/10
5. Sweet Leaf-really cool version of this, and is the 3rd best moment on the album.10/10
6. War Pigs-man, this version of Warpigs is mindblowing. This is my favorite version Ozzy has done of it. The best moment on the whole album.11/10
Bottom line-Go out and scour your areas cd stores to find this. You won't regret it, it is definately worth the money.

- Reviewed in Canada on October 7, 2003"Just Say Ozzy (recorded in 1989)" is a great representation of his "No Rest For the Wicked" Tour, which featured Black Sabbath bassist, Geezer Butler, Zakk Wylde (guitars), and the late great, Randy Castillo (Drums). The hits singles "Shot in the Dark" and "Miracle Man" are performed with excellent precision, and the inclusion of the lesser known tracks "Tattooed Dancer" and "Bloodbath in Paradise", make this album a true artifact. This out-of-print CD is worth the mere $8 you will invest for it, and Ozzy has never made a better live album since. "Tribute (w/ Randy Rhoads)" is excellent too, but avoid "Live at the Budokan" and "Live & Loud", which are pretty much the same albums, but with different track listings.
Over-all "Just Say Ozzy", is a great summation of his 1988/1989
tour, and also includes half of Black Sabbath performing a mind-blowing update of "War Pigs."
- Reviewed in Canada on June 21, 2011One listen to Just Say Ozzy, the 1990 stopgap live EP that Ozzy issued while writing the next album, will reveal a lot of studio trickerY. Indeed, if one focuses on the crowd noise you can hear edits everywhere. Billboard magazine revealed that the music for this album was re-recorded in the studio with audience noise overdubbed.
Having said that, if this kind of trickery doesn't bother you (and if you own Kiss Alive or Frampton Comes Alive then it shouldn't) then this is a great EP. Ozzy's second live EP of three so far, Just Say Ozzy's 6 songs feature the only recordings of the legendary Osbourne/Wylde/Butler/Castillo lineup. They were touring for No Rest For The Wicked at the time, a very underrated album, and Geezer Butler left Sabbath-bound before No More Tears was to begin recording.
Since this EP was from the NRFTW tour, three of its heaviest songs were showcased: the single "Miracle Man", "Tattooed Dancer", and "Bloodbath in Paradise". No ballads.
From The Ultimate Sin comes "Shot In The Dark", apparently Ozzy's "preferred version" according to the liner notes. Then a deuce of Sabbath: A smokin' "Sweet Leaf" and probably the best live version of "War Pigs" that I have ever heard.
Yes folks, this Zakk-infused version of "War Pigs" is, in this humble punter's opinion, the best live version ever released. Zakk's guitar digs deep into the guts and pulls them out piece by piece. It's just monstrous, plus with Geez on bass how can you go wrong? Randy Castillo was a very underrated drummer as well.
This EP has been out of print for a long time now, Ozzy was never very fond of the concept as the liner notes reveal. Track it down, it's worth it.
4 stars. Shame about the crappy cover art.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 10, 2004the ozz helped us rock through the years and never stopped so I am going to show my appreciaion by wtiting this column. He rocked with good times and bad times with Sabbath then he gave all he could with rock idol Randy Rhoads and blistered with Zaak. So really he can build up a great hit with any one and that song woulg go straight to the rock charts. He has been blessed with a gift (a talent) to give us the rock that we want. but going to this album I think that it is awesome to do Sabbath songs and Ozzy songs all on one album. Which is why I like this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars I enjoy this album.
Verified PurchaseI remember The Ultimate Sin & No Rest For The Wicked because those were the first 2 Ozzy albums i bought as a kid,no older than 10 i'm sure. When i heard those albums i was hooked on all things Ozzy.My dad had all the Sabbath cassettes & i mean ALL of them(Dio,Ozzy,Ian Gillan,Tony Martin)so i got into the solo Ozzy.Years passed and i saw this album Just Say Ozzy and i thought "oh sweet it's that cool colored art cover" so i thought it was an oldschool Ozzy album from the 80s. Already owning No More Tears,Ozzmosis,Down to Earth,Black Rain & Scream. So i grabbed it and noticed it was some of my favorite songs from my 2 favorite Ozzy albums(No Rest For The Wicked & Ultimate Sin) along with 2 Sabbath songs. I grabbed it for 6 bux. That's fair because each song is very well played for a live album,i mean some of the solos Zakk pulls off in the middle of songs or at the end doing some improv shredding.Ozzy was communicating with the audience and you hear them when you would wan't to hear them, and not hear them when you don't want too.The songs i think are unique selections from my favorite 2 solo albums(other than Bark at the Moon) but this was excellent because i love those songs, and you don't really get to hear him play anything live from either album. So i really enjoyed this album, plus i like to hear sweet leaf while i'm enjoying some of my own.Ozzy is spot on with delivering vocals. The bass work can be heard,it's audible & my god the drums are killer(nice and heavy, pounding) So if you are a fan of the 2 albums No Rest & Ultimate Sin or just a plain old Ozzy freak or just getting into Ozzy & want to hear a live set of songs that are rarely heard, this album i'd pick up.These are actually not in circulation anymore so snatch it up,this and Speak of the Devil. That is Ozzy doing a bunch of rare gems from Black Sabbath songs, which i'll write a review for next. But a cool thing to me,is when i bought Ultimate Sin & No Rest they both had a unique cover art, with the artwork in the center of the cover in a small box, surrounded by waves of color. These are 1995 remastering's 22 BIT SBM DIGITAL RE-MASTERING is what it says along the spine. There are a total of 10 of those albums.(and i have every single one of them because i'm a meticulous music collector)The albums all have the best sound quality.Don't be fooled by the 30 year anniversary edition of Blizzard of Ozz,Diary of a Madman & Bark at the Moon those have been re-recorded by Zakk Wylde on guitar so it's not Randy or Jake E Lee,that's a bummer and it's noticable if you play the album back to back you will notice guitar parts are switched. So i suggest you grab Just Say Ozzy in the 22BIT SBM RE-MASTERING. The 22Bit Re-mastering set of 10 includes,in order.......Blizzard of Ozz,Diary of a Madman,Speak of the Devil,Bark at the Moon,The Ultimate Sin,Tribute,No Rest For The Wicked,Just Say Ozzy,No More Tears, and Live & Loud. Each of those 10 has a unique color design along the entire body of the album art,the album itself, and along the back has a cool circular spiral for the tracklist. It's confusing if your drunk or shroomin it,it's like going through a spiral..I suggest this album it's got great songs, great sound quality, and great rare cd to add to your collection.Rock on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zakk Wilde in splendida forma
Verified PurchaseConosco questo cd da più di 20 anni , e per me è uno dei più bei live di Ozzy , se non sbaglio , no more tears non era ancora stato inciso , infatti ci sono esclusivamente brani di no rest for the wicked , oltre a due classici dei sabbath ed un classico di jake e lee tratto da the ultimate sin
