Major dinosaur fan here! A graphic treat for sure, compared to crude graphic content such as in "Jumangi". The John Williams score really holds it all together. Love how the carnivores are the bad guys and the herbivores are the good guys. Reminds me of "The Dawn of Man" scenes in "2001: A Space Odyssey", also clearly written by a vegetarian or vegan. Love the raptor's foot tapping! I saw a sequel to this that was unwatchable; stick with the original.

With Jurassic World coming out, I thought I would order this version and see it in 3D. Given the age of the movie, I was not expecting a lot from the 3D effect but I was pleasantly surprised. It is clearly not as good as movies made in 3D or done more recently but the truth is that the difference is small. Watching this on a 60" plasma screen in 3D definitely was better than watching it just as a BD. The price is right and I am glad that I bought this movie in this format and fully intend to add Jurassic World when it is released.

I’m not going to write about how good one of my favourite movies of all time is. I will write about how this was my first 4K blu ray movie viewing experience. Although I like how the colors pop more on the blu ray (also included), where the blues and greens contrast more, the 4K looks great and sounds incredible. I’ve seen this movie maybe 200 times (never kept count), the sounds and roar of the Rex brought me back to the first time I saw it in the movie theaters when I was 10 years old. Strange how memories work that way and that it sounds that impressive. I’ve seen this repeatedly on dvd, vhs, and streaming, yet I did notice a difference with the sound. I saw it 4 times in theatres and the Raptor snarls sound more viscous. Regardless of this was my imagination, this movie is a great one to own on 4K and the three part making of documentary has some new insight on the production.

It's the first jurassic park redone in as best as you an do for a 1993 movie 4k blue ray; what else can you ask for :) ?

This is the original and all the other movies lacked the "wow" factor this one did as it was definitely iconic during it's time for what it accomplished.

Great thing to have in your collection!

The restoration is beautiful, the sound is amazing, the movie is perfection, and--saints be praised--the contemporary special features are IN TACT. Time and again I buy an old favorite on Blu Ray to find the original making of docs and behind the scenes bits gutted for something new and inferior. (Thanks for those random interviews with Dan Ackroyd, Ghostbusters.) Universal opted to give us both the old and the new, and I couldn't be happier.

This was the greatest popcorn film of the 90s by light years and it still holds up today. So pleased to finally have it on Blu Ray.

We all know Jurassic Park is a timeless classic. It was a groundbreaking film and entertainment that still holds up today; the CG back then (including Terminator 2) still looks way more impressive than rushed out uninspired video game looking CG work done today! The Raptors look so realistic! Back then, I thought they were actually actors in a physical realistic costume suit having the most impressive creature movements ever in history... haha. With the amazing lighting work and everything, it doesn't look CG at all. I love how it builds up suspense by not showing the T-Rex immediately, and then there are just multiple actions that occur right after another... pacing is just great... even today, Jurassic Park is just loaded with intense, well thought-out clever moments and NOT just sloppy actions that drag.

I know there are people who are not fans of 3D (Why Christopher Nolan? Inception deserves 3D. It gives an amazing experience!!) and believe it's a gimmick... back in the day, perhaps... and I do believe not all movies benefit from 3D. However, with today's technology and watching the 3D in high definition, large projection screen, it is really mind blowing incredible if the 3D elements enhance the film.

Instead of being a spectator, when the movie and 3D is done right, it really feels like you're involved and on the set! I mean, 3D technology is not perfect and there can be some cardboard cut-out feeling still, but there can also be scenes where you totally forget you're even watching a screen. I felt like I was on the ride entering the park with them! I think it's more intense than the Jurassic Park water ride at Universal too! It's like having a theme park/Universal in my own home! I love seeing that Jurassic Park entrance in 3D... goosebumps! Seeing the T-Rex in 3D was like literally being there present and it was a whole new, exhilarating experience for me.

When the girl falls off from the air duct and the Raptor leaps up towards her.... that totally made me flinch in 3D -- even though I knew that was going to happen from watching the film before.

When one can watch an entertaining quality film with story, and then adding well-done 3D conversion, that is a win-win total complete package. One would think they shot this movie in 3D.... it's just really well done. Of course the kitchen Raptor scene has great depth in 3D.

Back in 1993, I had a choice of watching Jurassic Park or Super Mario Bros in theaters... Haha.. glad I chose the former. I'm very grateful to be able to watch and experience this film in 3D. If you haven't seen this in 3D, you're missing out. Well worth the investment! I am so addicted to 3D films now, I don't know if I can enjoy watching well-done 3D films in 2D now.
