I’m not going to write about how good one of my favourite movies of all time is. I will write about how this was my first 4K blu ray movie viewing experience. Although I like how the colors pop more on the blu ray (also included), where the blues and greens contrast more, the 4K looks great and sounds incredible. I’ve seen this movie maybe 200 times (never kept count), the sounds and roar of the Rex brought me back to the first time I saw it in the movie theaters when I was 10 years old. Strange how memories work that way and that it sounds that impressive. I’ve seen this repeatedly on dvd, vhs, and streaming, yet I did notice a difference with the sound. I saw it 4 times in theatres and the Raptor snarls sound more viscous. Regardless of this was my imagination, this movie is a great one to own on 4K and the three part making of documentary has some new insight on the production.
