We've been using this Natto Starter Spore at our factory to make Natto and it works great. Just be sure to sterilize your utensils before making the Natto. English instructions provided by Soymerica.

I followed the steps that one reviewer used (using her instant pot). I must thank her; it worked! My advice: make sure everything is clean, including your hands. Hygiene is important as other type of bacteria are around our home. I used 1lb. of organic soy beans and 1/2 the tiny spoon that came with the spores. Taste: enhance my WARM miso soup; after this we ate it on all dishes ( do not add Natto to very hot dishes. It will denature the nattokinase spores) Note: Natto really help the gut. Hope this helps
The container had been opened (repeatedly) including the contents inside. Little bottle missing some of its contents or replaced with who knows what?! Be very careful ordering this product...it cannot be returned either.
This is the best natto starter, without a doubt. The amount needed is minimal; the miniature spoon is included in the box. I have seen recipes online indicating that 1/2 teaspoon is necessary, which feels like a waste of product. I had my doubts about the price until I saw how little you actually need to use.
The cost might be expensive but if you use your created natto culture in a same way as sourdough culture, you may need the natto starter only in situations when forget you to freeze the culture or if the batch becomes contaminated and you might have to start from the beginning again.
