- Reviewed in Canada on May 31, 2025Verified PurchaseThis is our second one; the first one finally kicked the bucket after three years of non-stop use. We considered other brands, but this one's a champ, so we got another. This newer model is way quieter – the old one sounded like a jet engine! It's got dehydration and reheat functions now, which is awesome. We're really happy with it again. Plus, it's a steal! We hardly ever use our oven anymore; we use this thing almost every night.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 22, 2025Verified PurchaseWe love this air fryer… We had the same one a few years ago and it finally broke. We decided to go with the same one and love the updated model. So much quieter than the previous model. Love the basket for french fries and chicken wings.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 3, 2025Verified PurchaseUsed to have one, years ago. It wasn't as nice as this one nor did it work this good. This is a large unit, will take up some space on the counter where ever it will be kept. But being large also means it can cook more food. The inside holds 3 trays; one in the bottom that catches the grease dripping and 2 above it that hold the food. The convenient part is that you don't have to fire up a big oven and wait for it to get to the right temperature. This AirFryer its ready to go in a few minutes. It's convenient for quick meals.... 3-4 sausages, hot dogs, chicken legs, wings, French fries, etc. The one thing that can be improved is the buttons on the front panel. They are a hit and miss... the front being flat, can not tell where exactly to push and pushing on the function that's lit up doesn't always turn on the unit. Eventually after repeatedly pushing 3-4 times on "AirFryer" function, will turn on the airfryer.
Aside from that, everything seems to work well and the food that comes out of it, its fast and delicious.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 1, 2023Verified PurchaseI recently purchased the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 10 Quart Air Fryer, Rotisserie, and Convection Oven, and it has quickly become my go-to kitchen appliance. This multi-functional device is a game-changer, offering a wide range of cooking options including air frying, roasting, and baking.
The 10-quart capacity is perfect for large families or entertaining guests. It's spacious enough to accommodate a whole chicken for rotisserie cooking or a generous batch of fries for air frying. The appliance is well-built, sturdy, and easy to use. The controls are intuitive, and the digital display makes it simple to set the desired time and temperature for different recipes.
One of the standout features of this air fryer oven is its versatility. Whether I'm in the mood for crispy fries, juicy rotisserie chicken, or freshly baked cookies, the Vortex Plus delivers exceptional results every time. The convection cooking technology ensures even and efficient heat distribution, resulting in perfectly cooked meals with a crispy exterior and tender interior.
Cleaning this appliance is a breeze too. The non-stick surfaces make it easy to wipe away any residue, and the accessories, such as the cooking trays and rotisserie spit, are dishwasher-safe, saving me valuable time and effort.
Another aspect that impressed me is the included recipe book. It provides a great variety of mouthwatering recipes specifically designed for the Vortex Plus. From appetizers to main courses and desserts, it's a handy resource for exploring new culinary creations.
Overall, I highly recommend the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 10 Quart Air Fryer, Rotisserie, and Convection Oven. Its exceptional performance, versatility, and ease of use make it a must-have kitchen appliance. Whether you're an experienced cook or a beginner, this air fryer oven will elevate your cooking experience and delight your taste buds.

** Final Update **
I contacted Instant Brands via their website on August 24 prior to sending the second item back. I received an automated confirmation email stating they would get back to me as soon as possible. As of Oct 20th they have still not contacted. At this point I can't imagine they intend to. So both the product and customer service appear to be problematic. I cannot recommend this brand to anyone.
** Update - Purchased and received a second Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. The second one has the same issue with the burning plastic smell as the first. Once again I tried every tip and trick I could find on the internet to get rid of the smell. In total I likely ran it for over 6hrs and the smell remains. I have contacted Instant brands for support but 30+ hours later have not received a response. I've already started the return process with 鶹. If I do not receive an incredible response by Instant brands before I head to the post office tomorrow this will be returned and I will not be purchasing from the brand again. It's a pity because I own an Instant Pot and it is incredible. I have a feeling the build quality issue and the explosion of new low quality products has to do with Instant Brands being absorbed into a multi-national conglomerate.
On first use there was a horrid chemical plastic smell so I googled the issue and found some "solutions". None worked even after multiple attempts at a few solutions and doing multiple 20 minute test cycle as recommended by the manufacturer (well they recommend just one). Since the vast majority of reviews are extremely positive and the smell is so strong nobody could possible miss it or ignore it I have to assume this is an issue affecting a small percentage of the appliances. So I am returning this one and ordering a replacement. I hope second try works out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact, Stylish, and So Versatile—We Love It!
Verified PurchaseWe absolutely love our Instant Pot Countertop Air Fryer! It’s the perfect size—not too bulky—so it fits on our counter without taking up too much space. Despite its compact size, it’s incredibly versatile and handles everything from crispy fries to juicy chicken to reheating leftovers like a pro.
It also looks sleek and modern, so we don’t mind leaving it out on the counter. Cleanup is easy, the functions are straightforward, and it’s become one of our most-used kitchen appliances.
If you’re looking for a reliable, space-saving air fryer that does a great job and looks good doing it, this one’s a winner. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars My new best friend!
Verified PurchaseOkay I'll say right off, maybe I should get more friends! But as a man who is a self-styled amateur chef, I have been pining for one of these types of cookers for a couple of years now. I always find a way to squeeze in one more item on the countertop.
I choose this model based on reviews, features and brand name. I use my Instant Pot pressure cooker on a semi-regular basis and it is also a great cooking appliance, so I trust the brand name, and it doesn't disappoint.
I first took the air fryer into the garage and ran it through a couple of cycles before using it in the kitchen. There was clearly some smell as noted elsewhere, likely from manufacturing. By the time I used it "for real" on the 3rd run, barely any smell. And by the next time...no discernable smell at all.
My complaints are small, but let me get those out of the way. I wished it preheated up to temp faster. It's advertised in such a way that you think in 60 seconds, you're cooking. In my experience, it's 5+ minutes to get it to 400. Faster than an oven for sure, but not quite the blink of an eye I was hoping for. Second - the beeper is not loud enough. It beeps to tell you it's now at cooking temp, to rotate food or when food is done. For some reason, it seems louder to tell you food is done than it does to tell you the preheating is finished and to add food. You've got to be very close, so you can hear (or see) when it's up to proper temp. Since most foods are specifically timed, if you don't get your food in shortly after it heats up, it will start counting down whether there is food in it or not. Neither of these takes away from the overall 5 stars.
I've had it for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety of items. I used the roast feature for skinless salmon. Amazing taste and quick. I found that 10 minutes was perfect for my fish. Others might find mine slightly overcooked, so experiment.
It took about 3 tries for my fresh sweet potato fries to come out perfectly. I finally got it right at 20 minutes at 400 in the basket using the air fry function. Evenly cooked and delish.
I did homemade coconut shrimp. I can't remember the exact time - it seems like 12 minutes at 380 but I'm going by memory. There are recipes out there to cross-check my memory. Again - used the air fry function.
Baked potatoes were the best I've ever made at home. If you like potato skin, check this out. I rubbed them in olive oil, then lightly sprinkled sea salt, black pepper, and a blend of spices that is mostly garlic powder on the outside. These were large potatoes but I guessed and I guessed right - 400 degrees on bake setting for 50 minutes. Perfectly done inside and a nice crispy and tasty skin. You'll have to take a stab at it based on potato size. HUGE potatoes could be up to 60 minutes. Small taters - might be as low as 25 or 30 minutes.
Other items I've done are quick prep items. Some frozen and breaded shrimp were perfectly done at 8 minutes at 400. Frozen tater tots same temp at 8-10 minutes. I sprayed a light coating of olive oil and salt on the tator tots. Crispy and delish.
Everything so far has been easy and delicious. I have not used all functions - only bake, air fry, and broil so far.
If you're on the fence and you like to cook, take the leap!
3/5/23 update: still really enjoying my air fryer. I find that it makes fish taste amazing. The dinner shown in the photo is flounder and sides. The flounder was cooked about 7 minutes using the broil function. Rubbed a bit of avocado oil, then used some fresh thyme and lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of garlic spice blend. Squeezed some lemon over the top, and broiled perfectly. I still use it, still enjoy it and continue to recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best out there!!! BUY!!!!!
Verified PurchaseI’m so in love with this air fryer! After learning how to use it, I appreciate it even more. I learned it cooks in half the time as other air fryers. I also found the touch screen horrible at first but after trial I found that if you barely touch the screen it works all the time. Dry hands are a must for the touch screen. Overall, this is the best!!! I highly recommend this product, it works so well, cooks fast and cleans easily. I do recommend that if a recipe calls for 12 minutes cooking time, check in 6 minutes and often as item will cook faster than you realize.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this type of air fryer with shelves.
Verified PurchaseI bought the typical air fryer with the pull-out drawer; I hated it because things blew around inside. I have a small kitchen, and I needed an air fryer that could replace my toaster oven. This Air Fryer toast, broils, Air Fry, has a rotisserie basket and rotisserie spit. I put green beans in the rotisserie basket, and they were delicious. For me there was a learning curve, I think things cook faster in an air fryer than a toaster oven. Overall, I am very happy with it. I'm looking forward to using it this summer because I will not have to use my regular stove oven.
The only downside is it has a strong plastic odor when I use it. I'm hoping it will eventually go away.
