A huge upgrade from my Logitech joystick! Installation was fast, and didn't require any specific knowledge. Two metal clamps and wide rubberized base hold the yoke securely in place. Overall build quality feels outstanding, just like many other reviewers have mentioned. Yoke action is very smooth and gives a precise control of airlerons, and the elevator. No dead zones whatsoever. All buttons work well, and are easily programmable in X-Plane 11. The LED button at the back lets choose the brightness of the front red LED light or turn it off completely. Once you get this yoke, there's no turning back to the joystick. The only part where the joystick may still be useful is for rudder controls (and I am still using it for throttle). The yoke obviously does not have the rudder axel, so getting the rudder pedals is on my list now.
Cons: I can't think of any cons at the moment, but there are a few things on my wish list for this yoke:
1. I wish there were a trim wheel like the one on CH Product yokes. Buying the whole Honeycomb quadrant (which is out of stock everywhere btw) does not justify getting just a trim wheel;
2. The pitch trim buttons are designed well for trimming down, but are a bit clumsy to trim up by a thumb. I wish those buttons were a bit easier to operate when trimming up;
3. The yoke design is opposite to the design of a real Cessna 172; the engine ignition switch is on the opposite side of the yoke. Not sure why designers chose its position on the right. Hopefully it will be fixed in future models;
4. The last position of the ignition switch is not spring loaded, which I whish it were.
Overall, it's an exceptionally great product and I got it at great price too! Very happy 😊!
