I actually loved it at first; the colors are vibrant, the sound quality is good, but the price is not the price. You pay $90 to buy the device, and then they charge you $70 a year to get it's full features through the app, and it doesn't seem like there are many features without the app. I'm unsure what comes with just your $90.00 purchase for sounds and light. If anyone can educate me, it would be appreciated. I was going back and forth between this device and another sound/light machine and kind of wish I gave the other a try instead because after paying 90 dollars, which was the most expensive of the 3 I was looking at, I should have full use of what I thought I was buying and not then have to pay another 70 per year, so really the cost is $160.00 for what I thought I was getting for $90.00 and then another 70 thereafter. The others I was looking at were the ones from Momcozy and Dreamegg, for $55 and $59.46, of which Dreamegg is the #1 best seller. I'm curious if it's the same for those devices. If anyone has one of those, I'd be interested to know. Being that there are other comparable devices for way better prices, I feel like I wouldn't buy this again; I would go for one of the others. I would have been happy with the purchase to get all the features since I was already paying more and not having to pay another $70.00 but because of that, not so much and not sure what the app does without paying the extra.

    I don't know that I've ever written a review for a product on 鶹! But this one is definitely worth the time and effort to do so. This is by far the best product we've used for our baby. We have it set up for a programmed sleep cycle, what a game changer! Our baby is still in our room and is about to transition into her own, and I can tell you we will be buying another one for ourselves. We all have a better night's sleep thanks to Hatch!

    I would say this is in my top 5 baby items. Especially for a baby shower or gift registry. This is something to use from newborn- really any age. It’s not specifically for children, it’s really just a do it all sound machine and light light.

    The red light was so helpful transitioning my new born to sleep through the night. We incorporated this into our bedtime routine and she’s been sleeping through the night from 1 month old (now 13 months). The app is super great and all in all I think it’s a must for any new parent!

    Love the Hatch products.
    - nice lighting to choose from and dimmable
    - lot of sound options and volume
    - can change settings from phone
    - perfect size does not take up a lot of room on dresser
    - helps with sleeping - we currently have one in our room too
    - easy to move from room to room without loosing settings
    - new app is a bit confusing to get used to
    - subscription for more benefits is quite expensive but even without the subscription you have lots of options

    I’d buy one again for all our kids rooms! Highly recommended and a great product for baby shower.

    Don’t buy this version. We have the hatch rest + for our son and love it !

    This 2nd gen hatch rest is awful. It always glitches, clock sometimes works sometimes doesn’t, you have to crank the volume full to get a decent sleeping sound. And to top it all off it will connect to my wifi but it will not connect to the app no matter what I’ve tried ! So I’m stuck using the pre programmed noise and lights which is awful. The white noise is stuck on a red light and my poor newborn hates it and won’t sleep in her room. But she loves her brothers room that we were able to make more relaxing with different colours and sounds! The programming on this one sucks and I’ve read a lot of reviews online about it as well and people have the same issues. So do yourself a favour and do not buy this version !!! I’m ready to throw it in the garbage and cry - signed a seriously stressed out tired mama

    The Hatch Rest Baby Sound Machine has been a wonderful addition to our nighttime routine!     This machine saved my sleep with our six month old. The array of different sounds with a fairly loud volume (if your child likes that) perfected our night time. Prior machine I used would stop after 60 mins and he would wake up almost immediately. There’s an app with The Hatch you can control with wifi with different settings if you tap the top of it as seen in the video.

    I didn’t buy into the hype with this but was gifted some baby money and was desperate for sleep. This is a wonderful sound machine. Being able to control the volume and lights and choose from an array of different sounds is amazing. My baby definitely will wake up hear the noise and see the red light is on, and often puts himself back to sleep. Definitely has made it easy for me to establish a routine and understand sleep indicators. I don’t find the WiFi connect to be that disappointing although I’ve never had Gen 1, it hooked up instantly for me when I bought it and the subscription is an optional thing? Still has plenty of features. You tap the rim to change settings you’ve made in the app like if you have made a schedule or bedtime routine. Then you hold your finger on the rim to power off. The rest is buttons. Seemed pretty straight forward to me
