    Bought one of these units in April of 2024. It worked well for the first season and actually seemed to have enough power to cut my fairly large lawn. The problem started when i went to cut the lawn for the first time this year. The mower would make a small humming sound and then nothing. I contacted Greenworks and they directed me to the local repair shop. When I got there, the person working there informed me that this was the 6th or 7th one of these units that they had in the shop, and all had been waiting for parts for 2-3 months. I thought perhaps this was something out of the ordinary. Turned out I was in the same boat. I took the mower in in Early April, the shop had diagnosed the problem and put in a parts request on April 15th to Mechaneer (sp?), the warranty company that Greenworks has contracted. I contacted Mechaneer and spoke to Thomas who assured me this was a one of a kind thing till I told him about the 6 or 7 other machines at the shop. At this point I told him that I was not interested in getting the machine repaired if I was just going to get the runaround if it broke down again. He had no authority to do anything for me so I asked him for a customer service number for Greenworks. After an entire hour on hold, I finally opted for the callback option and about another 45 minutes later got a callback. My level of frustration at this point was upped by the fact that the person I was speaking to could tell me nothing about the issue I was having. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was directed to Erica. She promised to call the shop, find out what was required, and get back to me with the results. It's been a few days now and nothing but crickets from Erika. It is extremely clear to me that both Greenworks and thier warranty company Mechaneer, have zero regard for thier warranty responsibilities.
    In short, I will NEVER purchase another greenworks product again, and would advise you to do the same!

    Very light weight. I bought it for use around the house and trees where I would normally use a weed eater, but not wanting to tire myself out holding the weed eater, I opted for this instead. It is good for what it is. 17" is ideal for small places. I use it for about 15 to 20 minutes and am done. Any longer might need to charge batteries again. It is a bit under powered if you have tall or thick grass, in which case you would not be happy with this and need to opt for something more powerful. There is no side discharge, that's the other thing to consider, you either mulch or bag. A side discharge would give you slightly longer battery life. Being super light in weight, self propelled is not necessary. It weighs 42 pounds. I paid $199. They now list for $299. With the price increase, I would probably opt for a 60V or 80V as the extra power will definitely be appreciated.

    Batteries don’t run as long as I expected. I have a small yard, maybe 0.1 acres and I have to mow very fast to do it on one charge plus the batteries take quite a while to charge. So f I mow that quickly it misses a few blades of grass here and there. Overall it’s pretty good quality and easy to use. Adjusting the height is super easy and so is folding up the handle. Seems well built so I think it will last a long time (just not sure if the batteries will, I’ve heard aftermarket batteries are much cheaper and sometimes out perform name brand ones)
