Could be a bit rule heavy for people new to the genre. So I advise playing without the advanced cards or pirate abilities until your group is familiar with the basics. Use poker chips or tokens for scoring since the scorepad is not fun to use.

But u don't actually need to play with a ghost like they said in the rules for two players.. also i like that the person who has to go first rotates every round.. cuz the person who goes first cant capture Skull King or Mermaids so they miss out on bonus points. If ur hesitant, look up the pdf manual before purchasing and see if u like this sort of game. U need one person who has good short term memory (sorry stoners) to keep track of scores and write them down.
The best part is it fluctuates so much u will have no idea who will win.
Funny memories made with this game. Thanks for creating this. We loved the recipe as well.

It’s a fun mix of strategy, risk, and timing. I especially like that there are options to increase the challenge once you get the basics down. The core gameplay keeps you thinking, and it rewards bold moves when you time them right.

My only critique is that it comes with a lot of rules, which can feel overwhelming at first. Fortunately, the game includes handy cheat cards to help you remember everything, and once you’ve played a couple rounds, it starts to click.
