At first the cassette I received had a problem with the sound, because when I wanted to listen to the music with earphones, the sound went through the earphones and the speaker at the same time, but as soon as I contacted their customer service (it's written on the little paper they gave with the instructions) (Gracisio Customer Service), they answered me and gave me an exceptional customer service. I spoke with a very nice person from their customer service named Ivy who responded me very quickly and was very empathetic. She prepared a replacement as soon as she saw my email and I received a new one for free in 1 or 2 days ! I am really satisfied with the new cassette player they sent me who works perfectly ! Now when I put hearphones on the cassette player we don't hear anything on the speaker and the sound is very good ! There is also an SD card to put music on the cassette player and a charger (no batteries needed). The cassette player charges very quickly and you can listen to music for hours. I am 100% satisfied and if I could give more stars I would. I recommend this cassette player and I will not be afraid to buy one of their products again because I know they have a reliable service and they are here to answer you 24/7. Do NOT order this; it did not have a charger and is not battery operated. I found a compatible charger and today put a tape in, which it immediately destroyed. It was a special recording from many years ago, which is now ruined. The quality is terrible (cheaply made & plastic is poor quality). If I could give it no stars, I would. Returning it is a bit of a hassle and I have to wait for it to be refunded. Never again .

This tape player seems reasonable quality and the MP3 files produced are fine. However, there is one weakness to this machine: the tapes are inserted into the door and the door is then closed, positioning the cassette in line with the recording/playback tape heads. It works ok, but if your cassette tape is even a little loose, the tape can easily get caught up in the transport mechanism instead of winding the tape forward. I destroyed two valuable cassettes in a row and this was very disappointing. Also, because the door only opens a little, you cannot even reach the transport wheels and it is very difficult to remove your tape that is caught up in the mechanism.

I now take extraordinary measures to ensure the tape is "tight" on both wheels before placing the cassette in the device. However, despite this caveat, I do think that this tape player is of good quality and the MP3 files it created were of good quality as well. Also, this design that incorporating a mini SD card (included) is excellent since you can make your recordings anywhere and anytime -- and transfer them to your computer when convenient.

I have stacks of cassette tapes which just don't get played anymore as everything is digital now days. I have a turntable vinyl record converter to MP3 and thought there must be a cassette converter out there so I went straight onto amazon and saw a few which didn't really impress me but then came across this little wonder and I am so very glad I did as it's a everything I wanted and more. The cassette player & mp3 converter is very well packaged with good instructions and USB cable. The device is really quite nice looking and all the buttons are easy to use and well placed with the usual buttons at the top for operating the cassette player and buttons on the front for the digital functions with a very nice and clear operational display. There is a wired earphone port but the built in speaker has good sound, OK it's not brilliant but sitting next to you at a mid-range volume it sounds good. Transferring to mp3 is very easy and I was amazed that the transfer quality is much better sounding than the actual cassette tape, I've transferred about a dozen of cassette where the music isn't available on any of the providers and it's wonderful to listen to the music again. I popped the card into my phone and downloaded the music so that I can bluetooth it to my Bose player, but I still play the tapes on this cassette player with earphones at night to chillout and enjoy the cassette as I use to, but have them backed up as the cassettes will wear and become unplayable but the digital copies are backed up for continued listening pleasure. The player came fully charged and lasted ages, it is slow charging but it does hold a good charge. An excellent device at a remarkable price!

This recorder/converter works very well. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. It is very simple to convert a cassette to MP3. And once that is completed, (if you want) you can take the SD card out of the converter, use the USB adapter that is supplied, put the SD card in it, plug it into your computer, and copy the files to your computer (as a form of backup in case something happens to the SD card). And, if you don’t want the music file that is on the converter when you receive it, simply delete it from the SD card while you have the SD card in the computer.

The cassette tapes that I converted to MP3 were purchased in the late 80s, and the music on them was no longer available in any other form. So this converter allows me to continue listening to the music on the tapes (via MP3 files on the SD card) without fear of the tapes breaking.

I also converted several CDs to the MP3 format by using Windows Media Player. Then I copied these files onto the SD card. Once the SD card was back in the converter, I could listen to the music on the CDs via the converter.

Even though the name of the song or tape does not show up in the converter’s window, the converted cassette tape or song number does, and that allows me to forward to the number of the tape or song that I want to listen to.

The converter’s fairly long play life means I don’t have to recharge it as often. Also, I can listen to the music while the converter is being charged. And I like being able to listen to the music with or without headsets as there is a built-in speaker.

The 16 GB SD card has plenty of space for all the music that I would want to put on it.

Hopefully this product will last a long time.

Disadvantages besides the song name not showing in the converter’s window:
The chargeable battery is built in, so it cannot be taken out and replaced if it goes bad.
The manual, while helpful, needs to be edited by a person who has English as their first language.

J'ai retrouvé de vielles cassettes audio de repas de famille enregistrés par mes parents et quel bonheur d'avoir pu non seulement les écouter mais les retranscrire en fichier audio sur la carte mémoire et ensuite mis sur mon téléphone et mon ordinateur.
