In the past I’ve bought LED light strips and cheap colour changing lightbulbs from Canadian tire- but the strips leave sticky residue (not great when you’re renting!) and are hard to take down, and the cheap lightbulbs had very limited colour options.
A couple months ago we moved to a new home, and I decided to get better light bulbs for our various lamps. I bought these, using 5 of them around our small apartment. The app is pretty intuitive and easy to figure out, and has SO MANY options. Preset colours, warm and cool lighting options, a colour wheel to accurately get any colour you may desire. There are also preset themes that automatically change and cycle through colours (my favourite is “Aurora” that changes colours from bright aqua green to deep blues and purples, simulating the colours of northern lights). You can do so much with these light bulbs and even customize each one to be a different colour if you’d like. We use these every single day in the evenings when we want more ambient light for gaming, relaxing and having company over. Picture doesn’t do it justice, they’re really bright and saturated. You can also choose to make it less saturated and more pastel in the app by playing around with the colour wheel!
