Received these moulds yesterday and immediately had to try them. First off, the instructions are useless, the way it’s described you fill the bottom mould with water up to the rim & then place the top mould on top which which will push the water up. Not true, I had to add additional water through the tiny holes once the top mould was in place as there is not enough water to form a round ice ball. Once I did that, they formed ok except with a round ring around the ice ball. Other than that it serves the purpose, the moulds are sturdy & bendable so the ice balls easily pop out once they are frozen. Will keep it as they look different than the usual ice cubes.

I wanted unique ice cubes for cocktails and these are great. They work as expected but are slightly smaller than I imagined. However larger ones might make it too difficult to get the ice cubes out. I am going to try putting a maraschino cherry in each one ... hopefully this will work ... maybe even an olive or pickled onion in them to make martinis or gibsons with tasty ice cubes! I am pleased with this product.

First they make your ice balls smell like chemically enhanced rubber. Second they don’t work even that great as it’s almost impossible to get a perfect truly solid ice ball especially one that looks clear. They recommend you use boiling water if you want a clearer nicer ball. But even that still doesn’t work. Also the balls aren’t truly that solid abd are small so they still melt fast and last maybe one short drink if you use two. If you leave them in the ice ball maker they shrivel up to half the size in a day or two and get even more chemical rubbery smelling After one use I had to stop using it. And put in the recycling. As they made my drinks taste like rubber. I have bought another ice ball maker that came with a bottle of whiskey. It’s only a single ball at a time but it’s way larger and works great the ball is much larger so it doesn’t melt easily and lasts a drink or even two (and I’m a slow drinker).
