- Reviewed in Canada on June 2, 2022Verified PurchaseIt works well enough, seems well made and it has a swivel blade - which I have not used and don't know if it will; not sure what application you would need this feature for. I did notice that if the grass is at all damp (a bit of dew) , or the grass is really long (i.e thicker grass blades at the base of the grass), it does not cut very well. I had one of these years ago i bought at a garage sale and it had wheels which was a really nice feature, cause you didn't have to hold it up, just push it along and snip snip snip. Although this one is light, you feel it in your shoulders if you are doing a large yard.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 2, 2022Verified PurchaseWhen first using this cutter, I was disappointed that it cuts only small quantities of grass (like 10 blades) at a snip. It is quite easy to use and the blades lock closed when not in use. Perhaps, with more use, I will get used to snipping in bigger quantities. It clips nice and close to the edge and will do well around delicate plants that the mower cannot do. It certainly beats snipping with a pair of scissors, while on my knees!
- Reviewed in Canada on July 7, 2019Verified PurchaseI absolutely love this garden tool. My lower back would get so sore kneeling to trim weeds and grass around flower beds and sidewalks that I began to hate the task. The long handle, ease of use and ability to move the blades make this the ideal tool for me. It is not for cutting branches or thick items but it clearly states that in the description. I honestly don't know why some reviewers complain that they can't prune trees/thick swatches of weeds with this tool as it is not designed for that purpose. As my husband always tells me, "You need the right tool for each specific job." Some people are just impossible to please. I believe this is the best gardening tool I have ever bought and highly recommend it if you find your back getting sore while kneeling to trim weeds or you don't like the large (heavy) gas/electric weed eaters out there. I'd give this 10 stars if I could.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 25, 2024Verified PurchaseIt's not as useful as you would imagine, grass and weeds frequently get stuck and then it stops working and you have to clean them by hand. It's tricky to get all the weeds, only consider buying if you cannot sit or bend down, otherwise avoid it.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 5, 2023Verified PurchaseI really like this as I have a flower garden that has patches of grass I can't get with my weed whacker or I'd end up whacking the flowers. I have a bad back and this tool saves me from having to bend to cut the grass in those hard to get places
- Reviewed in Canada on May 17, 2021Verified PurchaseQuite frankly these grass shears are junk...the blades are misaligned and they only cut grass at the tip end. The un-cut grass at the lower on the scissor edges binds the scissor action and you end up ripping out grass instead of shearing the grass blades.

5.0 out of 5 stars Meets expectations
Verified PurchaseJust received the item today. Was really excited to try it when I saw it. It was fun. My concerns from other reviews was its weight and amount of physical effort that would be required by my hands. I held it with both hands. I did not have a problem. It cut well for all the tall weeds and will help me to get the edges my manual mower can’t. It cut bunches of grass but a little less gracefully- like cutting large stacks of paper with scissors. I was also worried if the height would be tall enough. I did not have to stoop. (I am 60-65 inches tall.) I appreciate the thought that went into inventing this item. It is easy to use, not intimidating, and will be easy to clean and sharpen the blades. My only frustration is a lack of a storage case to cover the blades and securely store it in the garage. Other than that, yay to the end of landscaping machines!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great so far
Verified PurchaseThis is going to make cutting weeds and grass in tight places much easier. There are some places where you don't want weeds, but you can't use a trimmer and don't want to use a herbicide.
The hyping of 360 degrees of rotation is just plain wrong. It's actually 180 degrees. It says 180 all over the instructions. 360 would be useless anyway. I knew that before buying, so it wasn't a surprise.
I used it already in one flower bed. Works great so far.
