These are a great zero-clearance option from a safety perspective as they will certainly keep debris from getting between the table and the blade. However, while they are still for a tape product and stick well, they are not as good as a proper zero-clearance insert which is obviously more rigid. The net effect is that these tape strips are unlikely to give you as perfectly clean a cut as a proper zero clearance insert, but are an improvement over the standard wide-gapped inserts in most table saws.

One other thought - I have read that some table saw users have had problems with zero-clearance inserts when they tried to angle their table saw blade, with jamming or worse results. Obviously zero-clearance inserts aren't meant to be used with an angled blade, but if you should forget and try, at least this zero-clearance tape will just tear ... so an additional safety feature.

I suggest 4/5 for actual clean cutting but a full 5/5 for the safety aspects - and since safety trumps all - 5/5!

If you want to make cleaner cuts with your mitter saw, just add this.
Just put a strip and you see a nt difference in the quality of the cuts.
If the gap becomes too wide just peel the old strip off and put a new one.
