    We have a deep soaker tub, and neither my husband nor I are able to step over the side anymore to access the shower, but since our house is old and would probably need a great deal of renovation, replacing the tub with a walk-in tub is not a practical option. This bench makes the tub accessible as a shower. It doesn’t quite clear the top of the tub (23”) but was easily modified by placing a 2x4 underneath the outside legs. Highly recommend this sturdy bench which allows you to sit on the portion outside the tub, slip one leg over the tub, slide across the bench and slip the other leg over. under $100 or $10,000, the choice was clear.

I like that their are drain holes in the seat and a safety handle bar to grab onto when getting in and out of the bathtub. My bathroom is smaller so it is a bit long but not a problem. I just feel more secure knowing I can safely shower and get in and out of the tub easier.

    This fits my mom’s tub with the inside legs fully shortened, and the outside legs at their full height. It works well in her bath, but I wish the inner suction legs could be shortened more. I would like the bench a tiny bit lower overall, because my mom is only about 5 feet tall. But it’s ok for her (just barely) and is a good solution that allows her to shower with minimal assistance despite having minimal leg strength.

    Bought this for my dad who had hip replacement and wasn’t allowed to step over our tub. Easy to get together and get in and out of the tub (just a little cumbersome for our tiny bathroom). It works great and has been easy to use. The suction cups are intense though! You have to get up under the edges to pop them off, otherwise pulling on them directly would likely rip them off the legs. Makes it nice and stable in the tub though which is great. It does cause a little extra water on the floor, but putting an extra towel down under it solves that. I may even use it after my dad’s done with it for days when my fibromyalgia and migraines flare up and standing becomes difficult. Overall very happy with the purchase.

    Very, very helpful and stable. It sticks out over the tub but that is needed to allow the bather to work their way in. Water will get on the floor until you learn how to use the shower curtain and the directions the water will go. It's very well built and light enough to remove by the person assisting or possibly the one receiving the shower-bath

    I would recommend getting the inverted U shaped grab bar with this. It allows the bather to grab onto something getting in and out as well as a feeling of security.

    Also have quite a few extra spare towels on hand to sop up water that is going to go over the edge and onto the floor until you and the bather get some practice

    Lifesaver! Broke my leg and needed a save way to pivot into and out of the tub on one leg and keep the cast dry. This did it. Nice and sturdy. I will say, the width of the lower flanges on the handle side legs was too much for our narrow tub, so we reversed them with the narrower outside flanges, and it worked fine. This won't work with shower doors, just shower curtains, and we fold the curtain in around us so the water won't escape the tub.
