Great Addition to PB 700FB
Fits the Pit Boss 700FB perfectly. Took less than 8minutes to change out. The temps seem to be right on, with a little less drift than the original. The enclosed probes are accurate for me compared to my calibrated thermometer. Definitely worth the money...Thanks!

    All that I needed was the thermocouple but it was a bonus to have the meat probe. Once the thermocouple and controller was installed according to labeling on the control board and connectors and wiring diagram , as soon as I plug my PitBoss smoker in the auger starts and does not shut off regardless of the controller setting which is dangerous because the temperature can run away causing an overheat situation. I tried all the temperature settings and gave it some time to react and it just keeps climbing. Swapped it out with my old controller and my smoker works just as designed.

    Biggest problem was fitting it into place on my 8700 Pitboss. It was a .10 of an inch to long. I had to use a Dremel to cut a notch for the heat probe wire plug on the control board.

    No instructions either. There is a button that looks like it might be for presets, but I don’t know. Also, it comes with a meat probe, but again no direction on how it works in regard to the settings.

    Overall kit was cheaper than a new grill, but you do get what you pay for.
