Do your own research and consult a phys before taking any supplements but what everyone should know is that most people don’t need Zinc supplements. You should get enough from a well balanced diet. Since Zinc is better absorbed from meat than plants, vegetarians could be deficient and might consider supplementing. There are some scary findings out there like – “Taking 100 mg of zinc daily, or taking supplemental zinc for 10 years or longer, has been linked with a doubling of the risk developing prostate cancer in men”. So, the lesson should be….supplements can be harmful. The recommended daily allowance for adults is 8 - 11 mg. Since this provides 7.5mg of Zinc per ml, you are already very close to the RDA with one dose. Personally, I've decided to take a .5 ml once or twice a week, just as a top-up. With all that said, I'm giving this product 5 stars because its organic, its in liquid form, its tasty, its from a Canadian company and the price is reasonable. Mine expires in Jan 2026. Remember to keep it refrigerated after opening.
