    I use these for power control on heated motorcycle grips and clothing. Unlike resistive solutions, they don't heat up so they can be embedded in 3D printed housings or clothing. And they don't waste power, drawing only what is required by the setting instead of dumping the excess as heat. I coat them in plastic-dip sealant to keep moisture out. I've only had one fail thus far and that was after 2 years of use. Cheap and effective.

    If you are looking for a speed controller that can be used for an analogue fan, this will not work for you. If your fan does not support pulse modulation, this will just cause your fan to vibrate until it reaches a high enough setting to push it past the magnetic field of the magnets.
    It would have been nice if it had a jumper to support both. It seems ok, but not general purpose enough for me.

    I hooked this controller up to a set of led lights and nothing happened. I had 4.2v on the incoming side and 0v on the outgoing side. Turning the knob gave no results on the outcome of the outgoing side. They are getting returned.
