Hub M2 only support aqara zigbee child device but not aqara thread devices or zigbee devices from other brands.
  • [Proximity] For a sturdy connection, ensure that the Aqara Hub M2 is within 400 inches of the Wi-Fi router, and the child device is within the same range from the Hub M2, both without any obstacles. For optimal network reception, proximity to the device is advised. Additionally, make sure the hub and the router are on the same local area network (LAN).
  • [360¡ã Infrared Control & Ethernet RJ45 Port & USB Power] Control your existing IR devices such as fans & TVs from any part of your room by voice and via home automations (indoor use only).     Beware, this hub does not expose IR accessories to HomeKit and the HomeApp. Making it completely useless for my needs. You are definitely able to add the Hub itself to HomeKit for the security aspect of Aqara's products but the IR accessories that you set up do not show up and are not able to be added to the HomeApp. Really disappointing that the product page does not show this incompatibility.

    Otherwise, this was one of the fastest and easiest to set up HomeKit devices I've tried to date. IR beam works excellent from the Hub to the Accessory. Even adding the remotes of the accessories into the Aqara app was painless.

    If only this M2 Hub could expose the IR accessories to HomeKit this product would be a 5 out of 5. But it doesn't so 1 star and a prompt return back to Â鶹Çø.
