I purchased this strap to held my Nikon Coolpix P950 camera. Although Nikon supplies a strap, this strap allows you to have the camera "at the ready" for when you need those quick still or video shots. Its design also takes the strain of an around-the-neck strap (my Nikon weighs 2.2 lbs - yeah, it's heavy) and moves it onto the shoulder where the cross-body design distributes the weight more evenly. I am planning to also use it with my CANON VIXIA 4K camcorder as well.

Would have given 5 stars but description is misleading
So I received a first strap that was missing the connector to hook the strap to the camera and noticed that the strap was not the one showed on pictures and did not have pockets. I sent it back and ordered another one. Received all pieces this time but still to pockets in shoulder strap. To be honest I don¡¯t really care about pockets on the shoulder strap but it is false advertisement and misleading so thisnis why I know 2 stars out of my review. But the product received itself is very well made and would be worth 5 stars in my opinion. The extra safety strap gives a good piece of kind also

Great strap and takes the job on

I first bought this strap in 2020 and recently replaced it with another (2025). The fact that I bought again demonstrates how highly I rate this. It¡¯s comfortable and adjustable with decent variation in length and does not get in the way of taking photos, often with haste. After several year the gromit that fits into the hole which is in the mount that attaches to the camera or lens, did fall out and I didn¡¯t replace this. Not doing so causes wear on the scissor buckle which is why this eventually failed and I had to replace. The actual strap though is still perfect and I toyed with just getting a new clip. The photo below shows the gromit and clip/buckle that failed after 5 years but on the new strap, as I discarded the old before I did this review. The strap has a zipped pocket in the shoulder pad and quick release buckles on the harness. I use this with a Nikon D810 and a sigma contemporary 150-600mm so quite hefty gear, in combo with a belt hammer carrier to hook the tripod arm onto. The hammer clip helps immensely with such heavy gear but is not especially needed but I have shown this toojason nicholsGreat strap and takes the job on
