María Ximena Santaolalla Abdó(Tlanalapa, Hidalgo, México, 1983), es escritora, licenciada en Derecho egresada del Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (cide) y psicoterapeuta para sobrevivientes de violencia temprana del itrem y Karuna. Trabajó como abogada y profesora asociada en el cide. Su primera novela, A veces despierto temblando, resultó ganadora del Premio Mauricio Achar 2021.

    No tiene ninguna forma, es un conjunto de voces idénticas. Los militares hablan como si fueran poetas, así como los habitantes de bajos recursos como si fueran grandes letrados. El punto de vista no fue el idóneo.

    Demasiadas metáforas ridículas que obstaculizan la trama, que ya de por sí, es difícil de encontrar. Exageración en las descripciones e historias que nada tienen que ver.

    El lenguaje se siente artificial, no es como hablan los chapines. Se siente que la autora quiere hacer sonar elocuentes a sus personajes, sin siquiera ella serlo. La "prosa" es un caos, si así insiste en llamarle la critica.

    La intención fue buena y qué bueno que explica al final lo que quiso hacer porque nunca transmitió algo que se sintiera real. Por mucha investigación que haya hecho y pegado y escarbado, el libro es una gran decepción.
