Cristian Perfumo habite maintenant à Barcelone après avoir vécu durant une longue période en Australie. En 2014 il a publié Dónde enterré a Fabiana Orquera, - Où j'ai enterré Fabiana Orquera -, lui aussi plusieurs fois réédité, et en juillet 2015 il est devenu le septième livre le plus vendu chez 鶹 Espagne et le dixième au Mexique. Cazador de farsantes (2015), son troisième roman avec le froid et le vent, a lui aussi épuisé son premier tirage. El coleccionista de flechas, - Le collectionneur de flèches (2017) -, son quatrième thriller, lui aussi situé en Patagonie, a gagné le prix littéraire d'鶹 auquel furent présentés plus de 1800 oeuvres d'auteurs de 39 pays. Rescate gris, - Sauvetage en gris - (2018), son dernier roman avant la publication de Los ladrones de Entrevientos, fut finaliste du Prix Clarín en 2018, l'un des concours les plus important d'Amérique Latine.
