Es un llibre cabdal de la literatura catalana del segle XX que descriu la genesi d'un gran escriptor alhora que ens fa reviure la Barcelona i l'Emporda de principis de segle, es el retrat d'un pais, a traves de l'autoretrat del seu autor. Lectura imprecindible per coneixer l'essencia literaria catalana. Chapeau, senyor Pla!
