Q: Can you use this product on a tanning bed?

A: It is best not to use tanning gels on tanning beds as they may damage the acrylic lining of the tanning bed, unless you are using a stand-up tanning booth.

Q: How should i use for the best results?

A: Use an appropriate amount of this product, please do not apply too much at one time. Apply in a firm/deep circular motion to allow the isletan tanning gel to evenly distribute, which allows a tanned skin.

Q: Any orange coloring? I don't want to turn orange i just want tan.

A: No, the dark tanning gel only boosts your natural tan color instead of orange tone. It's best to rub the tanning gel using deep, circular motions on knees ankles hands to blend it well prior to tanning.

Q: Will this gel stain my clothes?

A: The brown tint can stain, so allow the gel to soak in and dry before laying on a white towel or other fabrics! Rinse immediately to avoid staining when contact made with these items.

This tanning product works very well in the sun. It does give a nice golden brown tan. It is a decent sized container and comes with a little stick for taking a little out at a time. The product has a somewhat fruity smell. It has a thick waxy style look but once you take a little bit out and place it into your hands, the warmth of your hands melts it. So rub them together and then cover the pasty of your body you want to tan with the cream. It goes on dark but when rubbed in, all you see is the slight sparkly shimmer in the cream itself. It does work when laying in the sun. Shipping and delivery was fast and it came with a safety seal on the top, under the lid.

    This is my second jar of tanning accelerator gel from the "Isletan" brand. I absolutely loved everything about the first jar and this one is for a more dark, intensive tan so I thought I'd try it and WOW it really accelerates your tanning time and is super moisturizing.

    I don't usually go to tanning beds so I can't really comment on its effectiveness in that regard but it works great in the sun. I apply sunscreen first and then apply this over it. Bonus is you can limit your sun exposure and still achieve a deep, dark tan. It is a little bit greasy right after application but it does soak into your skin fairly quickly. It can also be used to extend the life of your tan and is very moisturizing and the tropical mango scent is amazing!!

    The harder gel consistency is a dark bronze colour and melts upon contact with your hand so a little goes a long way. Make sure you apply it evenly (circular motion) or you might get streaks. After applying, it gives your skin a healthy, golden bronze glow which is so pretty!! The ingredients include sunflower seed oil, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil & shimmering pearls which give your skin a beautiful shine, along with calendula extract which is an awesome skin moisturizer. There is also Carrot in it which is what gives it the bronze colour and accelerates your tanning experience.

    I highly recommend this item!! Great price (you need VERY little so the jar will last a long time), very effective, amazing scent and arrived promptly in well sealed packaging. Several of my friends tried this on the beach this past week - all different skin tones, some darker complexion and some very light skin tones that burn easily - and everyone was amazed by how well it worked. Several of them purchased it on the spot to have for their own use. Awesome product!!

    This is a premium tanning product from isletan. I’ve tried a few of their products and can’t say enough good things about what they make.

    The look, feel, and quality of the unique formula is rather impressive. It’s a sort of difficult to describe type of product… it’s not a paste and it’s not a lotion. It’s sort of like a denser body butter, packaged in a tightly sealed threaded jar tub for ease of transport. This stuff isn’t spilling anywhere!

    The shimmer here is really subtle. I was expecting it to be more intense but it’s not. Is also not glittery in any way. Instead, it’s sophisticated and really helps moisturize and plump up skin. It smells fantastic as well!

    My daughter used this gel in a recent trip in the south. It is not an solar protection cream; it is supposed to enhance the effect of a tanning session when you are baking under the sun.

    For the intended purposes, I guess it worked nicely. It helps keep the skin hydrated and avoid any dryness that might reduce the tanning effect of the sun.

    The smell is interesting and not too overpowering; a subtle and sweet fruit scent. It is like a gel and a little goea a long way since you dont need a lot to cover your skin. Better use it in small quantities multiple times per day.

    Gave great results at the end of the week without any sunburn and remember to use your normal sunscreen as usual since this won't block any sunrays.

    This arrived packaged extremely well too with an inner seal, an outer shrink wrap, and the whole thing was bubble wrapped. Nothing was left to chance there.

    With a consistency of soft butter, it's very easy to smear on, and it feels really nice as you apply it because it feels quite hydrating, so it's like giving your skin a big drink. It’s got a very prominent fragrance, which I personally find delicious. I can't quite place it, but it seems like a mix of cocoa butter and some tropical fruit (they say it's mango... I personally think of pineapples and coconuts). Anyway I went for a bike ride with a coat of this on, and enjoyed the occasional wafts I'd get now and then. It was hot out, so enjoying the nice smell was a welcome change.

    In additional to smelling wonderful, it makes your skin look wonderful too. Even if you don't already have a tan, this gel has a pretty strong colouring that, once evenly applied, will deepen your skin's colour. It also makes your skin very shiny and shimmery. Overall, it gives it a pretty amazing glow that's hard to capture on film. If I'm being completely honest though, it's probably not the most masculine product I could put on my skin, but I'm not that hung up on gender stereotypes, so whatever.

    Now for the negatives.

    This is pretty messy stuff. It readily streaks so you really have to apply conservatively and work it in for it to look good. It's not hard work, but it takes a little time. You can't just slather it on like any moisturizer or lotion. But once you do get it evened out, it looks amazing.

    It is greasy. Your skin will absorb some over time, but if you apply it too heavily, your skin's going to be greasy for a long time. As amazing as my skin looked on that bike ride that I took it on, I'm pretty sure my legs attracted more dirt than my freshly oiled chain.

    And because it's got so much colouring, You really have to be careful around clothing, especially lightly coloured fabrics. Trust me, this stuff will stain and it can be hard to get it out.

    As for tanning, I can't really comment on how well that works. I haven't used it long enough, and I tan really easily anyway, so it's hard to know if this helps or not.

    Overall, I do like the product, but just with some cautionary notes.

    Beware: this will stain bathing suit, coverup, towels, clothes, lounge chair, anything this touches after applying very little and rubbing it into the skin. The stain is the color of the paste, brown. This stains if you place a coverup on to walk on the beach or around the pool. Sand will stick to you and not wash off easily until you bathe with soap. It’s like a thick oil on your skin, repels water. For stating not being a “bronzer” in the ingredients, it’s a bronzer! Not at all “gel-like” and it DEFINITELY leaves a messy residue on your fingers and body!
