Product description

The iLIVING Shutter Exhaust Fan is perfect for removing excess heat, moisture, and unpleasant odors from virtually any commercial location, including restaurants, factories, warehouses, barns, and greenhouses. This fan features aluminum blades, OSHA compliant wire guards, and automatic shutters that open and close in tandem with the operation of the fan. The completely enclosed motor is thermally protected and permanently lubricated. Equipped with the newest Thermospeed Controller which can easily control the temperature and speed. Auto cycle ON/OFF at your desired temperature. The fan comes fully assembled out of the box.

I bought this fan on sale, cut/used a piece of plywood and the existing opening/hatch for my attic to build a "whole house fan" for about $100. In summer months, it gets up to 114 degrees where we live (no humidity though) and so being able to fill the house and the attic with fresh cool air before dawn is a huge money saver on our AC/power. This fan moves plenty of air so opening windows downstairs and turning this fan to high power does all of that cooling work cheaply and in minutes. The shutter opens and closes easily even though the fan is mounted horizontally. We are very pleased with this purchase.
