    I wish this was a never ending series because each instalment just makes me love this world even more.

    If you love unhinged heros who not only have all the red flags but have the ability to make you obsess over them because of it, then this is a series for you.

    Logan is trying to make a name for himself in the professional hockey world while his team battles it out for the cup. During a game, he is captivated by a beauty in the stands and is determined to make her his. Now some may have tossed in the towel after finding out she is dating his rival but that just intrigues him more.

    Sloane life changed at 18 when she was given a choice for her feature. Years later, she regrets the choice that turned her into an escort but she sees no way out. She has learned to dampen her emotions in order to survive but nothing can prepare her for the Rookie that crashes into her life.

    When her newest assignment is pretending to date Logan, she is thrown into a world that she never thought she would be apart of. The reason why I love this series so much is the strong friendships that are shown. The girl gang accepts her immediately and their bond grows with every encounter.

    Now when it comes to the men that make up the ‘Circle of Trust’, I have no words to explain how much I love them. I would literally kick my feet with every group chat we got with their antics and banter. Also the burger scene will forever live in my head (iykyk)

    Logan stops at nothing to show Sloane that in his presence she never has to worry about being unsafe. I loved watching them grow closer and seeing her let her walls fall. Their story has been imprinted in my heart and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

    I was so happy to see the handcuffs return! Haha

    Rookie delivers in this series, and the absolute best part are the banter text messages in the COT.
    The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is ZERO way an away team would have fans on home ice during the Stanley cup finals. I’m sorry, I couldn’t get over that part.

    However, I’ll be buying this book asap!

    10/10 so good. I can't believe this is our last Dallas Knights book, however, Rookie did not disappoint and we went out with the perfect Segway to new series. I absolutely swooned over this book and devoured it in less than a day. Poor Sloane, I am so glad she got the happily ever after she deserved.     Logan York is EVERYTHING!!! Charming, cocky, secretly soft. This book gave me butterflies, had me laughing out loud, and left me fully, hopelessly obsessed.

    Logan just claimed the top spot as my favourite CoT member. Seriously, it’s just peer unhinged CoT vibes.

    The Circle Of Trust strikes again! This was a solid read for me. I love how invested Logan was to make fetch happen with Sloane!

    C.R Jane always writes the most heartwrenching Fmc’s and this was no different. I felt so bad for Sloane throughout this one and I am so happy that Logan got to flex his morally grey extracurriculars.

    Read if you love multiple red flags, a gold retriever man who treats his lady like a queen, and Circle of trust shenanigans.

    Before I dive in, I have to say something that might ruffle a few feathers and honestly, good. Because I am furious at some of the reviews I’ve seen slandering Sloane Calloway for her so-called “career choice.” If you actually read the book not skimmed, not half-assed it, but truly read you’d understand that Sloane’s life wasn’t shaped by choices. It was shaped by manipulation, trauma, and survival. Her uncle didn’t offer her options he weaponized her pain, her past, and made her believe degradation was the only path forward.

    And yet… people still find a way to judge her. Why? Because she’s a woman. Because society still crucifies women for owning their bodies or surviving the only way they know how, while throwing parades for men with far worse sins. The hypocrisy is palpable, and it disgusts me. Don’t come into this book thinking you’ll sit in moral judgment over a character who’s clawed her way out of the darkness. Come ready to witness her rise.

    Now, let’s talk about the actual story because wow.

    Sloane is a hurricane wrapped in heartbreak. She is soft and jagged, brave and broken, and her journey wrecked me. There are scenes that will make your stomach drop, scenes that make you want to scream for her, protect her, and hug her all at once. And then... there’s Logan.

    Logan: The golden retriever with a switchblade. From the moment he lays eyes on Sloane, he is gone. Obsessed in the best way. The man is a walking fantasy of loyalty, intensity, and big “I’ll burn the world for you” energy. His love for Sloane is loud, messy, and all consuming and exactly what she needs to start believing she deserves more.

    Their relationship isn’t simple it’s a crash course in trust and tenderness. Sloane’s used to men who take; Logan only wants to give. And give he does, in every smutty, heart-melting way possible. The spice in this book? Chef’s kiss. But it’s the emotional intimacy that had me feral. Logan meets Sloane where she’s at, and then builds her a kingdom with his bare hands.

    And can we PLEASE talk about the Circle of Trust?! The bromance, the girl gang, the jokes, the absolute ride or die loyalty in this book had me laughing out loud and clutching my chest in the same chapter. Lincoln? 10/10 would trust him with my life. The guys backing Logan? Iconic. The women who love Sloane without judgment? More of this in every book, please.

    This book is funny, filthy, and full of feels.
    It’s a middle finger to societal double standards.
    It’s a love story built from the rubble of someone who never believed she deserved one.

    And it’s a damn masterpiece.

    I love every one of the books in the series even if I can’t necessarily say I remember them 😂. Pff Logan and Sloane are a great couple and they managed to find love in a very dark place. I love the COT and the involvement of the girls as well. Really good series

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️ Another greatly entertaining dark hockey romance from this series featuring the rookie Logan York and Sloane, a girl who had been manipulated by her uncle to work as an escort for four years since she turned legal. I thought the romance was cute, I didn’t feel the same passion or chemistry from these 2 that I felt in the last book, and the story was rather average, I had to rack my brain on what the plot was even after a day of finishing it. I did fall in love with our rookie Logan and I admired how much dedication and effort he put into keeping Sloane when he discovered her, because by my calculations, she cost a lot. I kept thinking, if the price of one night for her virginity started at 3 million then how much would it be for him to keep her for weeks? My guess was an astronomical figure with many zeros. Well, that’s terrible, and that issue was brushed off pretty easily, and so was their major win in the end. I’m watching the SC playoffs happening right now, and hockey players literally have no time during a playoff series to do as much as Logan York did for Sloane. That part was unbelievable at best, but if you’re looking for a mature and dark hockey romance, meet cute, and funny banter from all the series characters then I can’t recommend this enough. Now, I’m just sad that we’re drifting away from hockey and into a different sport now. I’m gonna miss this team, and all these characters.
