Silk Web Browser Not Working on Fire TV

Try these troubleshooting steps if Silk freezes or doesn't respond or you can't scroll.

If you're having issues using the app, try:

  • Clearing the Silk app data and cache. For how to steps, go to Clear App Data and Cache on Fire TV.
  • Restarting your Fire TV by going to Settings , and then My Fire TV or Device & Software. You can also press and hold the Select or OK button and the Play/Pause button at the same time on your remote for 10 seconds.

If there’s more than one section you can scroll through on your screen, follow these steps:

  1. Use your Fire TV remote to move your cursor to the section of the screen that you want to scroll through.
  2. Press and hold the Select or OK button on your remote.
  3. While still holding the Select or OK button , press the directional pad to scroll through that section.
Tip: For example, if you want to scroll down, press and hold the Select or OK button and push Up on the directional pad.
