Turn the Alexa Voice ID Setting Personalize Skills On or Off
Use the Alexa app to allow personalized responses for supported skills.
Note: An existing Alexa voice ID is required to use personalized skills.
- Open the Alexa app

- Open More
and select Settings
.
- Select Your Profile and Family.
- Select Your Profile and then select Voice ID.
- Select Voice ID settings.
- Turn Personalize Skills on or off.
Note: When you turn this setting off, Alexa no longer provides third-party skills with
a numeric identifier when your voice is recognized. Turning off this setting doesn't
disable account-level skill personalization or account linking for skills that use
this feature.
