Can't Screen Mirror on Fire TV Devices

To resolve most issues with screen mirroring, make sure that your device and Fire TV are compatible.

  • The following devices don't support screen mirroring:
    • iOS and macOS
Tip: If you have a Fire TV Smart TV, follow the steps in Use AirPlay on Your Fire TV Smart TV to mirror or cast content.
    • Android devices older than Android OS 4.2 (Jelly Bean)
    • Android devices that don't support Miracast
    • Windows devices that don't support Wireless Display (WiDi)
  • Check if your Fire TV can screen mirror.
    1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV.
    2. Select Display & Audio.
    3. Select Enable Display Mirroring.
Note: If the option doesn’t appear, then screen mirroring isn’t compatible with your Fire TV.
  • Connect your Fire TV and the device that you want to mirror to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Move your devices within 30 ft (10 m) of each other.
