Fire TV Devices Low Power Mode
Low Power Mode is available on select Fire TVs, Fire TV Sticks and other accompanying devices.
Low Power Mode reduces energy consumption on your Fire TV devices when the device is in sleep mode.
Your Fire TV device goes into Low Power Mode when the device goes to sleep due to inactivity or if you put the device to sleep manually through the Settings menu.
Your device exits Low Power Mode when you wake up the device by pressing the Select button on the remote.
Certain features or settings prevent your devices from maximizing the energy efficiency gains from Low Power Mode in an idle state.
These include:
- When "Alexa Anytime" is activated using the "Voice Commands When TV Screen is Off" setting on your Fire TV.
- When you set up your TV using the process in this Frustration Free Setup help page.
- When you turn on/off your TV using a paired Alexa device.
- When you change your display settings to "Default to black screen" that prevents the device from turning off HDMI on your Fire TV device.
