About buying policies

Buying policies allow you to set preferred items or sellers based on set criteria. They also allow you to restrict or block certain product categories from purchase.

Buying policies, a Business Prime benefit, allow the account administrator to enable Guided Buying regarding:

  • Purchasing a preferred product, or from a list of preferred products.
  • Purchasing from preferred sellers.
  • Restricting or blocking purchases from certain product categories or items.
  • Restricting or blocking purchases from certain sellers.

Account administrators can add approval workflows at the group level, and set approval requirements for certain types of purchases.

When creating or editing a policy, administrators can choose to apply the policy to 1 group only or to the group and all its subgroups.

If you cancel your Business Prime membership, we'll store your buying policies for 1 year.
