  I had a Breville Barista Express that eventually died after 8+ years of hard service. I was going to replace it with the same one but read some reviews about this little guy and decided to try it instead. I’m very glad I did.
  
  The key thing with any espresso machine is the grinder. You just can’t beat a dedicated espresso grinder. I initially bought a Baratza Encore and it was pretty good but then I upgraded to a Fellow Opus which is so much better. I then thought “why buy an espresso machine with a built-in grinder?” and so went for the Bambino.
  
  This thing is marvellous. It heats up in a blink, is very quiet compared to the Barista Express, and pulls great shots. I dialed in my grind in a few shots and booom! I was done.
  
  Downsides: I wish that Breville had included a dosing funnel for the portafilter but I understand they wanted to keep costs as low as possible, and I don’t drink milk so the steaming function is utterly irrelevant to me but overall I’m really happy with this little guy.
