I have owned a couple of Best insert range hoods, each being $1500 range for the insert alone (plus cabinetry) This unit is just as quiet as these units.
Installs fairly easily. The chimney bracket and cover could be designed better for easier/better installation.
The removeable stainless filters are a bit flimsy compared to more expensive units but the stainless steel exterior is nicely finished. Definitely worth the money.
If were buying a high end cooktop, I would still stick with the high end vent hood, but for mid level renovations, this is perfect.
