  This hub will save my pc motherboard and power supply from shorting and overload when working on Arduino circuits. Arduino uploads / downloads and runs correctly and provides peace of mind when working on LED strings that draw less than 1.5A max. Any circuit approaching that 1.5A I use a separate bench power supply. Individual port switches allow me to shut power off to Arduino and circuit while changing components. I wear a grounded wrist strap for extra precautions too.
