I bought this to replace a Sony home theatre system that had a broken speaker and a failed remote control.

One of the reasons I bought this unit over some better priced and higher specced units was that I have a Sony TV and expected additional functionality or added features and connectivity. Unfortunately when I connected it to my Sony TV it didn鈥檛 recognise the sound bar. I had connected by optical cable. I had to connect it by using one of the HDMI ports. It refuses to work wirelessly.

Once it connected, it works fine, and has good sound, although the home theatre system it replaced sounded better.

Would I buy it again? No, and not for the reasons noted above. The main irritations in this device are that it takes quite some time for it to connect to the TV and switch from the internal speakers to the sound bar. Sometimes it won鈥檛 connect at all and you have to unplug the sound bar from the wall and reset the TV. The second is that the remote control for the volume has a ridiculously long delay, it鈥檚 almost useless and you often end up just giving up and leaving it at an undesired volume.

My advice is to look at other manufacturers products and see if they offer better features for a better price, because unlike other Sony products , there is no point in keeping to the Sony brand because you鈥檙e paying for the Sony name only. Yes it looks good on the shelf with the TV, but there is no reward for brand loyalty in the way of synchronised operations or features.

I should have done better research before buying this, as I found a replacement remote on 麻豆区 for under $10 and the home theatre system is working great on the spare TV in the bedroom.
