I have to admit that I was a little skeptical when I first read the instruction because there is 2 different way to set up the remote. The frist one is by entering a code from the list I attached (3 pages of them). The font are so small that I need to use a magnifying glass to find it. There are lot of different brands and devices (not only TV, but also like BlueRay, DVD, sound system, streaming player etc) this remote can support. Just for Visio TV, there are 11 different codes to try. It didn't specify which code is for which model, only the brand. Luckily, the first one I tried work so I don't bother. Entering the code to set it up is easy. Simply press the setup button, then enter the 4 digit codes. That is. The instruction said there is a way to manually search, but I couldn't understand what is it talking about. I think in most case, entering a code should work for most people.
Once it setup, I tried most of the common functions on the remote, like home, menu, scroll, volume, mute, apps, exit etc. All work fine. The quality of this remote is decent. It is a pretty good deal for this price.
