When I first received the device I was thrilled. I鈥檝e been a long time Ubiquiti user and felt like I was treating myself to a bunch of features I鈥檝e long desired, such as built in poe+, 2.5gb wan, 10G sfp+ ports, built in controller - the whole deal. I migrated my controller and devices, got my APs working, and moved my switches over. Everything was great. Everything was fast, and worked great. Until it didn鈥檛. I got a call from my family saying the internet is down, which could mean anything.. until I got a message with a picture of the screen on the unit saying something went wrong, and it needed to be rebooted. I tried the reboot, and it went to the same failure screen. Contacted ubiquity and went through troubleshooting steps, and was told 鈥渨e need to RMA this unit鈥 鈥 what? It鈥檚 30 days old?? Decided to just return it, and go back to my old setup. The scary thing is that this is common enough that there are many posts about this happening to people; some are lucky that the reboot fixes it, others are out of warranty and totally out of luck. Honestly, it sounds like it鈥檚 some kind of hardware design flaw - I do NOT recommend this device.
